Objective:The research and analysis of Ludian earthquake trauma patients in the general condition, clinical characteristics and treatment. Methods:Using descriptive epidemiological method,. The medical records of 588 cases of trauma patients who admitted to Ludian People’s Hospital and Zhaotong People’s Hospital since 8.03 Ludian earthquake were investigated, and a retrospective questionnaire survey was conducted. The survey content includes gender distribution, age distribution, ethnic distribution, occupational distribution, injured area distribution, injury type distribution, mechanism of injury distribution, geographical distribution, pre-hospital first-aid, transferred the patients, the infection and antibiotic used, treatment and therapeutic effect etc. Then, the results were further analyzed by statistical analysis. Results:In this group of patients, the male were slightly more than female. The proportion of middle-aged,41-65 years-old, were most, accounted for 32.31%, The proportion of youth second, accounted for 25%. Children and the elderly were less. The majority of patients were Han Chinese. Occupational distribution to farmers (68.54%) as the main, followed by students, Other occupations were less distributed. The injured area distribution to multiple sites of injury is mainly, accounted for 57.48%. The proportion of the lower limbs injury was the highest in the single area injury, with less to the spine and pelvis injury. The distribution of injury type to the soft tissue injury (45.24%) as the main, and the next was fracture trauma (40.32%), The fracture type were mainly the lower limbs fracture in single site fracture. accounted for 25%. The proportion of crush injury was 6.29%. The injured mechanism distribution to bash injury, accounted for 77.38%, followed by falling or crush injury, the proportion was less than. Geographical distribution was mainly mountainous area. The proportion of patients received professional first aid in pre-hospital was less, and the mo was mainly hemostasis and bandage accounted for 72.87%. The patients was transferred within 24 hours mainly, accounted for 42.78%, followed by 48-24 hours, accounted for 23.89%. And the transferred hospital was municipal hospital, accounted for 68.33%. There were 112 patients with infection, and the infection rate was higher, accounted for 19.05%, but the submission and the detection rate for pathogenic bacteria was low. With conservative treatment as the main therapy, the proportion was 48.98%, the operation of debridement and suture cases accounted for 17.35%, and the surgical treatment cases accounted for 15.99%. The operation included mainly the musculoskeletal system surgery, accounted for 82.98%. And the musculoskeletal system surgery mainly included reduction and fixation. After hospitalization, the cure rate was 62.42%and the improvement rate was 33.67%. Limitations of medical conditions were the most important factors influencing the treatment effect,.Conclusions:Earthquake trauma is different from other trauma, and is related to many factors. We should pay attention to the statistical analysis of the general information to provide the basis for early treatment, rational allocation of medical resources and the development of treatment programs, reducing the degree of injury and mortality.
