Objective:To explore the clinical characteristics, risk factors and prognosis of the breast cancer with venous thromboembolism (VTE),which may improve the awareness of breast cancer with VTE to reduce rate of the occurrence of VTE, improve the prognosis of the patients. Methods:We collected the clinical data of 48 patients diagnosed breast cancer with VTE as the case group, then randomly chose 60 patients with breast cancer of non-VTE as the control group during the same period. Then we retrospectively analysed the data, which contained the clinical features, the risk factors, the anticoagulant therapy efficacy and prognosis. The main treatment was anticoagulant therapy of the patients with VTE. We evaluated curative effect after one week, and the patients were divided into two groups:the effective group and non-effective group, according to the curative effect. Results:In the case group, there existed 26 patients who aged from 50 to 60 years old, which made this part being the largest percentage, accounting for 54.2% of the case group. There existed 23 cases with left lower extremity deep vein thrombosis, making the left lower extremity be the most common sites. There existed 31 cases VTE which occured within 3 months after diagnosis of breast cancer, accouning for 64.6%. There existed 31 cases VTE which occured within 3 months after diagnosis of breast cancer, accouning for 64.6%. The univariate analysis results were showed that there were significant difference between control and case group in obesity (BMI> 30 kg/m2), dyslipidemia and abnormal glucose metabolism; Up to the deadline, the average survival time of the cases group was 18.6 months, while the case group was 21.6 months, there existed significant difference between control and case group in survival curves(x2=4.358, P=0.037<0.05). Up to the deadline, there were 10 patients who happened recurrence of thrombosis clearly. The effective group contained 2 cases, the recurrence rate was 13.3%; the non-effective group contained 8 cases, the recurrence rate was 24.2%, the results were applied by statistics analysis, there meet no statistically significant difference (P>0.05). The average survival time of the effective group was 21 months, while the non-effective group was 12.94 months, there existed significant difference between control and case group in survival curves (χ2=4.103, P=0.043<0.05)Conclusion:1.VTE occured within 3 months after diagnosis of breast cancer more frequently, and it often occured in the the ages from 50 and 60 years old. Left lower extremity is the most common occurrence sites of the VTE;2.The obesity(BMI>30kg/m2),dyslipidemia and abnormal glucose metabolism may be the independent risk factors in the patients of breast cancer with VTE;3. The curative effect of anticoagulant therapy during the first week may affect the prognosis, and it may have no influence in the recurrence of VTE;4.The patients with breast cancer with VTE may have poorer prognosis than patients with breast cancer of non-VTE.
