Nowadays, lung cancer has become an important problem closely related with the livelihood of the people. It ranks first of all malignant tumors because of its high incidence and high mortality. For patients with lung cancer, the condition of their prognosis depends directly on whether the cancer can be diagnosed in the early stage. Currently, how to diagnose lung cancer early and accurately through non-invasive diagnostic methods has become an important research topic. However, the use of non-invasive diagnostic methods is limited because of the sensitivity and the false positive rate. Therefore, the academia has agreed that a multi-discipline and multi-method warning model should be established. Traditional Chinese medicine has the concept of "preventing disease in health, applying early treatment to prevent deterioration". The application of such concept on the prevention and treatment of lung cancer and its metastasis has accumulated a wealth of academic experience. In Chinese medicine diagnostics field, the study for the name of disease, etiology, pathogenesis, disease location, disease resistance, clinical classification and the correlation with physical science and tumor detection indicator has rise to a considerably high level, but the study for improving the early diagnosis of lung cancer hasn’t yet been proposed. Under the guidance of Ryodoraku theory since the 1950s, this article uses M.E.A.D. to explore the diagnosis of lung cancer, to make up for the corresponding blank field in Chinese medicine diagnostics field.Ryodoraku theory was found by Yoshio Nakatani, a biology professor at Kyoto University in Japan. It is a significant academic achievement on the study of the essence of meridian. The study has shown that, under the skin, there are some very small easy conductive points, while meridian points are such points. The connection of such easy conductive points in certain forms can be named Ryodoraku, which is similar to meridian. It has been generally believed that the conductivity of the meridian points may reflect the energy level of meridian, and the twelve source points (a total of 24) can be a good representative of Ryodoraku. Meridian Energy Analysis Device (called M.E.A.D.) measures the value of electrical conductivity at 24 meridian source points, thereby to explore and evaluate the Rise and Fall of functional activities in organs. In this study, the meridian energy value of patients with lung cancer and healthy people were collected by M.E.A.D. and then analyzed by statistical methods. The patients with lung cancer were creatively divided into two groups:the new group without Chinese medical treatment and the referral group with Chinese medicine treatment. And we compare both the two groups with the normal group, and explore the differences between them. The result shows that there is almost no difference between the referral group and the normal group, while the meridian values of the new group are significantly lower than that of the normal group on lung meridian, heart meridian, spleen meridian, large intestine meridian and small intestine meridian, revealing that lung meridian, heart meridian, spleen meridian, large intestine meridian and small intestine meridian is the disease location in meridians of lung cancer. As a consequence, early diagnostic method in the field of traditional Chinese medicine can be made through a large sample supporting by research with big data, which can establish a lung cancer early warning model with other methods to effectively improve the early diagnosis of lung cancer. In addition, the results can also guide the use of traditional Chinese medicine methods to prevent and treat lung cancer instructively under the concept of "preventing disease in health".The study also used statistical methods to compare groups with and without metastasis in patients with lung cancer. The result shows that the meridian energy values of group with metastasis are significantly lower than that of group without metastasis on lung meridian, kidney meridian, large intestine meridian, small intestine meridian, triple energizer meridian, suggesting that lung cancer metastasis is closely related to the low energy condition of lung meridian, kidney meridian, large intestine meridian, small intestine meridian and triple energizer meridian. According to the result, combined with functional characteristics of lung, kidney, large intestine, small intestine and triple energizer in traditional Chinese medicine theory and the previous research in the field of lung cancer metastasis, this paper presents that deficiency of both Qi and Yin in lung and kidney and unfavorable catharsis in the body are important factors of lung cancer metastasis. Thus, in linic, we can use the means of lowering turbid urine and invigoration to prevent and treat lung cancer metastasis, which can guide the use of traditional Chinese medicine to prevent and treat lung cancer metastasis instructively under the concept of "early treatment to prevent deterioration".
