Objective Through moxibustion on different acupoints(PC6,ST36,CV4),we observe several time domain indexes of the heart rate variability(HRV), studying the effects of moxibustion on heart rate variability, to find whether there is a difference between different acupoints,to provide objective basis of scientific autonomic nervous system for moxibustion effect mechanism.Methods The study included 69 subjects, who are students from Nanjing University of traditional Chinese medicine,28 males,41 females were randomly divided into Neiguan (PC6)group, Guanyuan(CV4) group, Zusanli(ST36) group.Each group consists of 23 cases. Each temperature and moxibustion 30min. To observe the change during moxibustion, different groups, different gender of the heart rate, time domain index of heart rate variability(RR interval, rMSSD, SDNN, PNN50).Results 1. Moxibustion health people 25-30min influenced the regulation of autonomic nerve function, different acupoints makes different effects.2. Moxibustion on Zusanli (ST36) 25-30min, heart rate slowed down (P<0.05), RR interval prolonged (P<0.05), PNN50 increased (P<0.05), SDNN increased (P>0.05), RMSSD increased (P>0.05). Moxibustion at Zusanli (ST36) 25-30min can significantly improve the activity of the vagus nerve, improve the function of autonomic nervous system.3. Moxibustion on Neiguan(PC6) 25-30min, heart rate decreased (P>0.05), RR interval prolonged (P>0.05), PNN50 increased (P>0.05), RMSSD decreased (P>0.05), SDNN decreased (P>0.05).4. Moxibustion on Guanyuan(CV4) 25-30min, heart rate slowed (P>0.05), RR interval prolonged (P>0.05), PNN50 increased (P>0.05), RMSSD increased (P>0.05), SDNN decreased (P>0.05).5. After comparing HR, RR interval, PNN50, RMSSSD, SDNN change of PC6 group, ST36 group, CV4 Group, we found, HR, RR interval of Zusanli group, changes of RR tended to become neutral and PC6 group SDNN change trend neutral is relatively obvious, the rest of the change trend of neutral is not obvious.Conclusions 1. Moxibustion on healthy young people could decrease the heart rate, increased vagal activity, decreased sympathetic nerve tension,regulated autonomic function. Moxibustion therapy is simple and effective safety.2. Different acupoints moxibustion are different. The most obvious effect of autonomic nerve function of moxibustion is on Zusanli(ST36) of healthy young men.3. Warming effect of moxibustion closely related to the condition of body and the specificity of acupoint.
