Clinical Research On Therapy Of Discharging Fire And Dissipating Phlegm And Eliminating Goiter Prescription In Treating Hyperthyroidism With Syndrome Of Internal Disturbance Of Phlegm-fire

Objective:To explore TCM understanding of hyperthyroidism, and observe the curative effect of tutor’s experience therapy of discharging fire, dissipating phlegm and eliminating goiter to treat the patients with hyperthyroidism of phlegm-fire disturbing syndrom. As well as to investigate the mechanism of preventing and treating the disease.Methods:Using randomized and parallel-controlled design method, patients with hyperthyroidism of phlegm-fire disturbing syndrom were divided into treatment group and controlled group randomly. In the controlled group, treatment group was given traditional Chinese medicine decoction 1 agent a day, taken twice in the morning and evening for 12 weeks, on the basis of conventional western medicine therapy. Then we detected the thyroid hormones (TT3、TT4、FT3、FT4、TSH), TRAb, made B ultrasound examination and estimated the accumulated points of TCM of the two groups before and after the treatment, so as to observe the change and evaluate the security. All the data would be processed with SPSS 20.0 for statistical analysis.Results:The diagnosis and included hyperthyroidism patients were 60 cases.30 cases of treated group, while 30 cases of controlled group. Before treatment, the gender, age, course of disease of the two groups patients had no differeces. After treatment: ①the total efficiency:the total efficiency of the TCM group (treatment group) was up to 96.67%, while the western group (the control group) is 73.33%, with the distributions compared significant difference (P<0.05), which means the treatment group has higher total efficiency than that of the control group.③symptom scores:the symptom scores of the treatment group is higher than that of the control group (P<0.05). But both of the 2 groups have a significant difference compared with the scores before treated (P<0.01).③the heart rate:the heart rate of the 2 groups have a significant difference compared with the scores before treated (P<0.01).However, the 2 groups after the treatment have no significant difference (P>0.05).④the thyroid hormone:the degree of the decrese in the thyroid hormone TSH of the the treatment group is more than that of the control group (P<0.05). the degree of the increase in the thyroid hormone TT3、TT4、FT3、FT4 of the the treatment group is more than that of the control group (P<0.05).But both of the 2 groups have a significant difference compared with the thyroid hormone before treated (P<0.01).⑤TRAb:the TRAb of the 2 groups have a significant difference compared with the value before treated (P<0.01).However, the 2 groups after the treatment have no significant difference (P>0.05).⑥ goiter:the size of goiter of both 2 groups has a significant difference compared with the size before treated (P<0.01), the degree of shrinking of the treatment group is more than that of the control group(P<0.05).⑦untoward effect:There are 2 cases of leucopenia disease and 2 cases of mild abnormal liver function in control group. But it had returned to the normal range after expectant treatment. No side effect was found in treatment group.Conclusion:Through the preliminary clinical study, the therapy of discharging fire and dissipating phlegm and eliminating goiter prescription unite ATD has sure curative effected in treating Graves disease with internal disturbance of phlegm-fire symptom. From the angle of western medicine, it can decrease heart rate, adjust thyroid hormone, correlative thyroid antibody and improve level of enlarged thyroid gland and symptom score.Most important, be safe and effective.It is worth studying deeply and developing further.But because of the conditions limited, there were small number of cases and simple observational items in this study,and the study period is short, exact curative effect still needs further observation large sample, multicenter, long cycle.
