| Objective:To evaluate the outcome of surgical intervention for congenital coronary artery fistula with giant coronary aneurysm in 30 patients between 2012 and 2016.Methods:Thirty patients ranging in age from 15 to 83 years old (mean 52.5±19.7 years), twelve patients were male and nineteen patients were female. Twenty-four patients (77.4%) were presented with symptom and/or related complication. Fistulas to the right-side heart were more easily catching clinical symptom and/or related complication than the left-side (50% vs.84%, P=0.034). Surgical intervention was performed for twenty-six patients with cardiopulmonary bypass. Results:Twenty-five of the twenty-six patients performed surgical intervention were cured without post-operative death, only one case suffered from the complication related with extracorporeal membrane oxygenation. Conclusion:Early and properly surgical intervention under cardiopulmonary bypass is safe and effective for giant coronary artery aneurysm with coronary artery fistula. |
