Objective:To explore the hemostatic effect of Ho:YAG laser under different pulse energy and frequency, and to provide theoretical basis of the optimal parameters of Ho:YAG laser in clinical hemostatic application.Methods:We chose New Zealand rabbits as our experimental animals, made artificial damage and induced simulated bleeding in the superficial vessels of intestine and kidney, holmiun laser irradiation was applied with different pulse energy and frequency in different powe, while maintaining a constant irradiation distanceResults:The group of high energy combined with low frequency had significant difference when compared with the group of low energy combined with high frequency in hemostatic time(P< 0.05). The time of hemostasis was reduced by increasing the pulse energy, at a constant power setting and irradiation distance.Conclusion:Holmiun laser with high energy combined with low frequence has a better hemostatic effect under a certain power.When holmiun laser is used for hemostasis in clinical, we can give priority to lower pulse frequency to reduce heat damage and improve the hemostatic efficient.
