| With the change of the people’s diet and living environment, thyroid disease incidence is rising year by year. The incidence of crowd of thyroid disease were middle-aged and old people and women. Because of the Thyroid goiter,the most of patients are come to see a doctor. With the growth of the thyroid, there are some problem followed. When the excessive enlargement of thyroid goiter inward growth, the patients is feel limited breathing and swallowing difficulties because of the trachea and esophagus compressed. As the thyroid goiter outward growth, the patients highlight neck affect beautiful and the level of thyroid hormone disorder affect normal life. The most rare of thyroid disease in the diagnosis is nodular goiter and the main treatment for nodular goiter is surgical. Compared with the minimally invasive surgery, the traditional thyroid surgery is still the main treatment method. But the operation area is in the neck which is belong to the exposed parts of the body, the scar which left by the wound healing of the post operative has been plagued by the majority of patients, especially for women. So the topic how to improve the surgical procedure,decrease the operation area, improve scarring after surgery is still discussed by the thyroid surgeons, and how to improve affect beautiful after surgery is also become a universal concern of all patients.ObjectiveIn this study, in order to research the advantages of Traditional Chinese Medicine for treat scar. To observe huoxuehuayufang effect on the patients scar formation after thyroid surgery and to verify function that the traditional Chinese medicine in the intervention of the postoperative scar formation.MethodsWe use the method of random grouping divide 60 subjects age range in 18 50 years old who meet inclusion, criteria and sign informed consent into two group, one is control group and the other is experimental group,30 subjects in each group. Control group accepted routine treatment, the experimental group on the basis of conventional treatment and taking huoxuehuayufang begin from the first day postoperatively to postoperative day 7. To record information about postoperative wounds for third day, like pain which is assessed by VAS, wound discharge, the wound swelling, hematoma, blood plot,and record the score which is assessed by Vancouver scar scar rating scale after a month. All data processing using SPSS 20.0 statistical package to build the database and statistical analysis,the descriptive statistics,t-test,nonparametric statistical methods and Fisher’s exact test.ResultsAfter take huoxuehuayufang for three days, the test group compared to the control group:pain(1.7±0.466 VS 2.0±0.371),the wound discharge(1.00 ±0.455 VS 1.57±0.504), the wound swelling(0.73±0.450 VS 0.93±0.254), subcutaneous hematoma(0.13±0.346 VS 0.43±0.504), blood plot (0.03±0.183 VS 0.23±0.430).After one month follow-up, the test group compared to the control group: Vancouver scar scar rating scale scores(6.77±1.251 VS 5.03±1.474).Through the comparison of statistics, compared to the control group, the experiment group performance in the postoperative condition of the scores and Vancouver scar scar rating scale scores were lower (P<0.05), the difference was statistically significant.Conclusion:Huoxuehuayufang have positive impact on scar formation after thyroid surgery. By regulating the formation of scar to achieve aesthetic effect, the patient’s psychological pressure, concern and feeling is reduced. The Traditional Chinese Medicine to treat scar has its own advantage, like safe and inexpensive, so it is worthy to be applied. |
