BackgroundIn genitourinary system, Chronic epididymitis is a common disease, not only can show the body discomfort, may also lead to psychological problems. But now there does not have standard of diagnosis and treatment of the disease. Conservative treatment commonly contains antibiotics, anti-inflammatory drugs, pain relievers, the former two need to the metabolism of liver and kidney, may take with liver and kidney damage being a long time; analgesic drugs, especially narcotic pain medications, in particular, there is the risk of addiction. If symptoms do not persist, or recurrent, surgical treatment is necessary, but it may cause infertility. TO Relievie symptoms is the most important goal of treatment, as chronic epididymitis mainly show a local pain or discomfort, which in turn cause psychological concerns,. For this, this paper draw up to discuss a kind of physical therapy method-biological magnetic therapy. Magnetic therapy effect by static high magnetic field on the body so as to achieve therapeutic effect. It is a noninvasive, no damage, cost of treatment. In the study of confirmed magnetic therapy is effective in treatment of the epididymis neoplasm. But lack of quantitative indicators and the control group, the lack of evidence.ObjectiveTo explore the effect of static high magnetic field on chronic epididymitis, and study the related mechanism.Methods40 patients diagnosed with chronic epididymitis in the guangzhou hospital of TCM, were respectively for conservative treatment and magnetic therapy in February 2015 to February 2016. Patients were randomly distributed into two groups, audited by the inclusion criteria, exclusion criteria, each group of 20 people, including 3 lost to follow-up during the treatment.19 people in treatment group had completed the study, and control group of 18 people, a total of 37 people. Treatment group:contralateral testicle exposed in static high magnetic field, by fixing the magnet that 2cm in diameter,0.5cm thick (two pieces of up to lcm) permanent magnets (0.3T), pasted in the underwear inside and outside close to the site, continuous pasted under it did not affect the normal life and activities eight weeks. Control group:took ofloxacin tablets 0.2g two times day after a meal four weeks. Eight weeks was for obersevation,on the physical examination on outpatient appointment, the Chronic Epididymitis Symptom Index (CESI score) and color ultrasound before the treatment, respectively,1 week、8 weeks after treatment The control group, before and after treatment, should check liver and kidney function index。ResultsTwo groups completed the study, no adversed events.1、The total effective rate:the treatment group 5 patients healed,10 markedly effective,3 effectively,1 ineffective, and efficient control group 94.74%,1 patients healed,7 markedly effective,9 people effectively,1 ineffective, efficiency is 94.44%, the statistics, the treatment group curative effect is better than that of control group (P<0.05).2、The scores:before treatment the treatment group CESI average score was 20.37±3.00 points, the average pain score was 10.21±1.58 points, the average quality of life score was 10.16±1.80 points; The control group CESI average score was 19.78±2.05 points, the average pain score was 9.94±1.47 points, the average quality of life score was 9.83±1.79 points. Two was no difference. After 8 weeks the treatment group average CESI score was 3.53 ±2.88 points, the average pain score was 1.84±1.64 points, the average quality of life score was 1.68±1.34 points; The control group CESI average score was 5.89±2.74 points, the average pain score was 3.11±1.61 points, the average quality of life score was 2.78±1.40 points. Compared before and after, there are differences in both groups (P< 0.05), suggesting that both groups had curative effect. According to the changes of CESI score, rate of pain relief quality of life period found that two groups of patients have clinical symptoms and life treatment improved (P< 0.05), the comparison between groups treatment is better than that of control group (P< 0.05), in both 1 weeks and 8 weeks.3. The size of the epididymis:treatment group:on the left side of the epididymis average size was 0.76±0.13 cm squared, on the right side of 0.82 ±0.26 cm squared before treatment, in 8th week treatment on the right side of 0.73± 0.13 cm squared, the left side was 0.85±0.16 cm squared, the control group:on the left side of the epididymis average size was 1.01±0.27 cm squared, on the right side of 0.73±0.16 cm squared before treatment, in 8th week on the right side of 0.99±0.26 cm squared, the left side was 0.73 ±0.16 cm squared,. No obvious change was in the two groups before and after treatment. Right and left epididymis in treatment group compared in the group were no change before and after therapy, but I comparing to the control group left epididymis increased in 1 week and 8 weeks after treatment (P< 0.05). Combined with clinical, the size of bilateral epididymal do not change before and after the treatment.4、Epididymis lesions:treatment group:on the left side of the epididymis average size was 0.76±0.13 cm squared, on the right side of 0.82±0.26cm squared before treatment, in 8th week on the right side of 0.73±0.13cm squared, on the left side of 0.85±0.16cm squared; the control group:average size was 1.01±0.27 cm squared, on the right side of 0.73±0.16 cm squared before treatment, in 8th week on the right side of 0.99±0.26 cm squared, the left side was 0.73±0.16 cm squared. Size was no change in treatment group after 1 week, in 8th week decreased (P< 0.05). Conclusionthe clinical trial compared with conventional conservative methods, found that the pain relief time shorter than the control group subjects, the degree of pain relief than the control group, and epididymis lesions might be smaller. In conclusion, the static high magnetic field clinical trials is better than ofloxacin group to the patients.
