"Zao bi"belongs to Stagnation-syndrome, which caused by dryness pathogen, its clinical symptoms mainly includes arthralgia and dryness of the sense organ s."Zao Bi", according to TCM theory, is one of the refractory diseases, its clin ical incidence has been rising in recent years, while there is no precise record in ancient medical books. Professor Lu Zhi-zheng is the founder of TCM rhe umatism, He proposed the denomination of "Zao bi" and promoted the etiology and pathogenesis of "Zao bi" theory. Rheumatism department of Guang’anmen hospital has done a large number of basic and clinical researches on the theo ry of’Zao bi"in which professor Cao-wei finds out that the"deficiency of Qi an d Yin" syndrome as well as "spleen-stomach dampness-heat" syndrome mainly result in "Zao bi"."Qin Lian Ping Wei San" is the prescription to cure "spleen-stomach dampness-heat" syndrome.Through theoretical and clinical aspects elaborate theoretical and clinical stu dies of the treatment of spleen-stomach dampness-heat syndrome of Zao Bi wit h Qin Lian PingWei San. Elaborating the vital f unction of spleen-stomach system in morbidity, outcome and therapy of "Zao Bi".Reviewing the modern pharmacological researches of the 6 component herb s of QinLianPingWeiSan.Clinical researchOBJECTIVE:This study aims to elaborate the application of "Qin Lian Pi ng WeiSan"to treat "spleen-stomach dampness-heat"syndrome of "Zao Bi"by Pr ofessor CaoWei.To study the key point of diagnosis and experience of tradition al Chinese medicines application through observation of the clinical efficacy.To discuss the mechanism of using "Qin Lian Ping Wei San"to treat "spleen-sto mach dampness-heat" syndrome, providing basis for clinical practice.METHODS:Clinical Trail:A1132 subjects came from Rheumatology Department of Gua ng’anmen Hospital, diagnosed as "spleen-stomach damp-heat"syndrome of "Zao Bi"and they were treated by the prescription of QinLianPingWeiSan".Recording the symptoms cores(4times) and analyzing the data by using SPSS22.0 software. P<0.05 difference was statistically significant.RESULTS:1.After 3 months’treatment,17 patients symptoms were obviously subsided (53.13%),13 patients symptoms were improved(40.63%),1 patient slightly reliev ed(3.12%),1 patient ineffective(3.12%);2.Total symptom scores presented a decreased trend(P<0.05);3.Each main symptom score dropped after treatment, difference statistically significant(P<0.05).CONCLUSION:l.The prescription of QinLianPingWeiSan"can effectively improve symptom s of’spleen-stomach dampness-heat" syndrome of "ZaoBi".2.The prescription of QinLianPingWeiSan" can obviously decrease the toal score and the scores of each symptom.3.The prescription of QinLianPingWeiSan" obtains 53.13% obviously subsid ed,40.63% improved,3.12% slightly relieved, total effective rate 96.88%.
