Professor Shi Zaixiang is one of the mentors of the third、fourth and fifth generation for training qualified doctors to carry on the experience of national senior and well-known Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) experts. Professor Shi is an experienced physician, with more than forty years of clinical work in TCM and modern medicine. The first part of this article introduces the academic theories of professor shi. He founded the theories (Sheng Xian Qu Yu). He actively participate in the treatment of perioperative symptoms. He is experienced in treating hypertension, cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, cerebrovascular disease, chronic kidney diseases, as well as other various kinds of complicated diseases. In the first part, There are a lot of cases analysis to introduce his clinical experience. The second part is the theories (Sheng Xian Qu Yu) on the coronary heart disease angina pectoris after intervention study. Objective:to investigate the effect and safety of Shengjie Tongyu granules in the treatment of angina pectoris after coronary intervention. Methods:80 patients with the angina pectoris after coronary intervention were randomly divided into treatment group (N= 38) and control group (N= 35). Patients in the treatment group were treated with Shengjie Tongyu granules for four weeks. Meanwhile, patients in the control group were given the Tongxinluo capsule for four weeks too. We evaluated TCM syndromes, cardiograph, the treatment efficacy, blood lipids and safety indices. Results:Both groups showed significant improvement in TCM syndromes and symptoms of angina pectoris (P< 0.01), but between groups, no significant differences were found (P> 0.05). Total efficacy rate of TCM syndromes in the treatment group (81.58%) was superior to that in the control group (62.86%), there was significant differences between groups (P< 0.05). Total efficacy rate of symptoms of angina pectoris、blood lipid parameter was no significant differences between groups (P> 0.05). Conclusion:Shengjie Tongyu granules can effectively improve the symptoms of angina pectoris after coronary intervention and the effects are comparable with the Tongxinluo capsule. However, in improving TCM symptoms, Shengjie Tongyu granules displays superiority over the Tongxinluo capsule. Therefore, the safety of treating angina pectoris after coronary intervention with Shengjie Tongyu granules is satisfactory.
