| Research purpose:The purpose of the research is, through observation, to compare the clinical effects of Stomach Regulating & Life Prolonging Decoction combining Bear Bile Powder, of Korean Medical Prescription, and Rosuvastatin Calcium in treating Coronary heart disease with stable angina pectoris. In addition, it is to explore the efficacy and safety of Korean medical prescription in treating the said disease, and to make it known to more medical staff and to provide more reliable evidence for treating coronary diseases with Korean medical prescriptions.Approach of the Study:1.Randomly divided 40 cases (patients of Taiyin Constitutions) of Coronary heart disease with stable angina pectoris into two groups with equal number of cases, one group treated with Stomach Regulating & Life Prolonging Decoction combining Bear Bile Powder (hereinafter called BBP Group) and the other group treated with Rosuvastatin Calcium (hereinafter called RC Group). Patients in both groups were given once a day IV solutions, glucose (5%,250ml)/Sodium chloride (0.9%,250ml) +Danhong (40ml). RC Group was given 20 mg at one time every evening for 2 weeks (one course of treatment) and patients were observed for one course of treatment. In addition to Danhong injection, the BBP group took Stomach Regulating & Life Prolonging Decoction (drug consists of Liriope lOg, dried chestnut 10g, ligusticum 10g, Platycodon 10g, Acorus gramineusl5g, Radish Seed 10g, Ephedra Herb 5g, Coix Seed 15g) orally combining Bear Bile Powder 1.5g. Stomach Regulating & Life Prolonging Decoction was decocted in the decoction way of the hospital, to be taken warm in the morning and evening (half an hour before breakfast, one hour after dinner), with Bear Bile Powder 1.5g taken at 7 o’clock every evening for 2 weeks (one course of treatment) and patients to be observed for one course of treatment.2. In order to evaluate drug efficacy, comparisons were made before and after drug administration in each group in respects of TCM Symptoms Score, Score of Pain, Ischemic-appearing changes of electrocardiogram leads, and the Changes of Blood Lipid and Blood Rheology.3. In order to evaluate the drug safety, observations were made in the following respects (1). Vital Signs (2). Urine Routine, Blood Routine; (3). Renal Function, Liver Function; (4) Bleeding Time, Coagulation Time (5) Cardiac enzyme (6) Fasting Blood Glucose.4. Data obtained through the above observations were entered into statistical software SPSS19.0 for statistical analysis.Research findings:1.The statistical analysis over the balance of the basic information of the patients of the two groups in terms of Gender, Course of Disease, Age, Smoking, Drinking and Weight Index and etc, indicates that comparison is possible. (P>0.05)2. Comprehensive Therapeutic Efficacy:17 cases in the BBP Group showed effect, indicating 85% total effective rate, while 15 cases in RC Group showed effect, indicating 75% total effective rate. In treating coronary heart disease with stable angina pectoris, there is no difference between the Stomach Regulating & Life Prolonging Decoction combining Bear Bile Powder with the Rosuvastatin Calcium (P>0.05)3.TCM Symptoms Score, Score of Pain:The Scores of TCM Symptoms and Score of Pain of each patient were significantly declined after medication was taken (P<0.05); In the meanwhile, after medication was taken, the Scores of TCM Symptoms and Score of Pain of patients of BBP group declined more sharply than those of patients of RC Group P<0.05)4.ECG efficacy:Abnormalities were found in ECG of all 20 patients in RC group. After using drug, ECG ischemia lead of 15 patients was obviously recovered to the effective standard, and the total effective rate is 75%; 19 of 20 patients in BBP group presented with abnormal ECG. After using drug, ECG ischemia lead of 16 patients was obviously recovered to the effective standard, and the total effective rate is 84.21%.5. Lipid TC, HDL, LDL and hemorheological changes:After patients in two groups used this drug, significant changes were observed in TC, HDL, LDL and high, middle and low cut-off value of blood viscosity and plasma/ viscosity compared with those before this drug was used (P<0.05), and hemorheological changes of patients in the BBP group are significantly greater than those of patients in RC group (P<0.05).6. At the end of treatment, no significant abnormalities were observed in vital signs, routine urine examination, routine blood examination, renal function, hepatic function, myocardial enzyme, bleeding and blood clotting time and fasting blood glucose in two groups compared with those before treatment.Conclusion:In treating coronary heart disease with stable angina pectoris, the efficacy of Stomach Regulating & Life Prolonging Decoction combining Bear Bile Powder is more obvious in improving clinical symptoms of angina and lowering blood viscosity; There is no difference between the BBP group and RC group in improving ECG ischemia changes and regulating lipid TC, HDL and LDL; During the treatment process, no significant drug-induced adverse reactions or risk events occur in the BBP group. In conclusion, the medical preparation Stomach Regulating & Life Prolonging Decoction combining Bear Bile Powder for coronary heart disease with stable angina pectoris can effectively eliminate discomfort symptoms of patients and improve the effective rate. |
