Object:To compare the clinical curative effect of breast-conserving therapy and modified radical mastectomy in the therapy for early-stage breast cancer. and changes in aesthetic parameters of breast in 3 months after breast conserving surgery.Methods:Clinical records of 176 cases received breast-conserving therapy and 356 cases received modified radical mastectomy from march 2008 to September 2014 were retrospectively reviewed. Compare the differences of postoperative distant metastasis, mortality rate, disease-free survival rate and local recurrence between the two groups. Use tumor size, axillary lymph node metastasis,molecular subtypes and age to quantify the integrated assignment, using Cox proportional hazard model analysis, come to affect the breast cancer surgery After the patients disease-free survival (DFS) of the independent prognostic factors. And, according to the 78 cases received breast conserving surgery patients (except centrally located breast cancers), postoperative 3 months measurement ipsilateral nipples of sternal depression, nipple line and the nipple to the breast crease distance difference as the index of different tumor size, different quadrant mass of breast preserving conserving surgery after the aesthetic part change variable influence.Results:Local recurrence rate, distant metastasis rate, mortality, DFS and OS were not statistically significant (P> 0.05) in patients with I and II stage breast cancer underwent breast conserving surgery and modified radical mastectomy, The age, tumor size, axillary lymph node metastasis and molecular subtypes of breast conserving surgery DFS in patients with no statistical difference (P> 0.05); After breast conserving surgery and aesthetic parameters of 3 months with the mass and size of the quadrant (Turner size≤3cm) showed no significant difference (P> 0.05).Conclusions:Clinical curative effect of stage I and II breast cancer patients treated with breast conserving surgery and modified radical surgery had no difference, the patients with breast conserving surgery operation (except centrally located breast cancers) after the aesthetic part parameters and mass the quadrant and size (Turner size≤3cm) have no difference. Breast conserving surgery can be used as the preferred treatment for patients with I and II stage breast cancer.
