Objective:Assessment of the effect of TXA(tranexamic acid) on the recessive blood loss in elderly patients with the transcervical fractures after hemiarthroplasty. Methods:Choosing 60 elderly patients with the transcervical fractures who were hospitalized from Feb.1st.2015 to Feb.16th.2016 and recived the hemiarthroplasty in the second Department of Orthopedics of Guangdong Province Hospital of TCM. The patients were randomly divided into two groups:the experimental group(n=30) and the no-treatment control group(n=30). Their age are from 62-102 years (average 83.88±6.60 years). The average surgery time is 92.8±28.97 min and the average hospital day is 17.10±5.14 days. The difference of sex, the time of waiting surgery, age, the type of prosthesis, the capacity of intraoperative rehydration fluids, the way of anesthesia, postoperational Hct, postoperational Hb, weight and height between the two groups won’t statically significant(P> 0.05). Compare the visable and recessive blood, the Hb, Hct, the ratio of the hidden blood loss, the volume of blood transfusion and blood transfusion rate. Data was analyzed and verified by SPSS 17.0.Results:The dominant blood loss in experimental group and no-treatment control group are234.82±148.45ml and 245.30±80.86ml, the difference between them isn’t statically significant(P> 0.05). And the recessive blood loss in experimental group and no-treatment control group are 469.52±237.81ml and 704.25±402.76ml, the hidden blood loss of experimental group is lower than the control group obviously, the difference is statically significant (P< 0.05). The percentage(hidden blood loss/total blood loss) of the two groups are 64.19±17.21% and 64.72±17.78%, the difference isn’t statically significant (P> 0.05).Conclusion:Using the Tranexamic acid in the hemiarthroplasty can reduce the recessive blood loss. |
