ObjectiveBy collating and studying ancient documents about jaundice, to sum up the relationships between dose and effect of prescriptions to treat jaundice. Which help us providing a new reference amount of medication for the treatment of jaundice, thereby improving clinical efficacy.MethodsFirst, determine the key words of "Dan", "jaundice", "Huang Dan", "cereal jaundice", "wine jaundice", "coital jaundice", "black jaundice", "yellow", "Yang jaundice", "Yin jaundice". Then search the《Chinese medical classics》 through the screening conditions, as to collect related literature of TCM ancient books. Uniform the weights and measures, to organize, classify and sum up. Statistics out the average dose, the most commonly used dose and the dose distribution range by EXCEL. To explore the drug dosage rules on jaundice in different historical periods, so as the cause of drug dosage changes and their relationships with the curative effect. By what can we provide ideas and basis for the treatment of jaundice.Results1. In this study were retrieved 353 prescriptions in treatment of jaundice, Involving 220 kinds of traditional Chinese medicine, Frequency of use more than 10 prescriptions in order to:Yinchenhao decoction, Zhizidahuang decoction, Gegen decoction, Zhizibaipi decoction, Yinchensini decoction, Yinchenwulin powder, Gudan Wan, Wulin power, Mahuanglianqiaochixiaodou decoction. The frequencies of the first 8 drugs were:wormwood, tuckahoe, liquorice, gardenia, white atractylodes rhizome, Radix Scutellariae, Radix et Rhizoma Rhei, Rhizoma alismatis.2. The dose of single-ingredient in the treatment of jaundice in ancient China:The dose of 8 kinds of commonly used drugs used in the treatment of jaundice were researched and analyzed:(1)The total average doses of eight high frequency drugs were:75.87g、 21.05g、26.28g、 20.99g、 20.93g、39.85g、49.61g、12.44g, The most commonly used doses were 223.80g、 5.60g、16.53g、20.66g、7.46g、 41.31g、 41.31g、 5.60g.(2) Before the Han Dynasty, Sui and Tang and Song Dynasty, Jin and Yuan Dynasties, Ming Dynasty and Qing Dynasties five historical periods, the average dose of wormwood were:41.59g、 107.69g、 129.63g、 47.40g、66.58g, The average dose of the Tuckahoe were:10.31g、 52.06g、 46.29g、19.15g、8.24g, The average dose of the liquorice were:27.50g、30.15g、44.48g、21.79g、22.53g, The average dose of the gardenia were:17.50g、 36.92g、 31.45g、 8.61g、 10.28g, The average dose of the white atractylodes rhizome were:17.19g、 41.97g、 43.57g、18.4、 13.62g, The average dose of the Radix Scutellariae were:34.38g 33.79g、79.43g、 20.41g、 55.51g, The average dose of the Radix et Rhizoma Rhei were:41.25g、 50.70g、 15.25g、 49.54g、49.48g, The average dose of the Rhizoma alismatis were:10.31g.46.13g、39.08g、4.17g、9.21g. In the treatment of jaundice in the past 8 commonly used drug, white atractylodes rhizome Tuckahoe, Rhizoma alismatis and gardenia, the most commonly used dose close to the recommended range of the 《Chinese Pharmacopoeia》, And wormwood, liquorice, Radix et Rhizoma Rhei, Radix Scutellariae, the most commonly used doses are large, Obviously beyond the maximum dose of the 《Chinese Pharmacopoeia》3. The dose research on the commonly used prescription for treating jaundice in ancient times:(1) In Yinchenhao decoction, wormwood, Radix et Rhizoma Rhei, gardenia the total average dose were 128.93g、 60.93g、 15.12g.(2)In Yinchenwulin powder, wormwood, Tuckahoe, white atractylodes rhizome, Tuckahoe, Rhizoma alismatis, Polyporus umbellatus, cassia twig the total average dose in turn is 25.01g、 8.19g、 9.20g、10.97g、 7.22g、 6.11g.(3) In Yinchenzhufu decoction, wormwood, white atractylodes rhizome mankshood, rhizoma zingiberis, cinnamon the total average dose in turn is 4.20g、7.46g、2.33g、2.05g、3.45g、1.12g.4.
