The Study Of The Curative Clinical Effect Acupuncture Of "Baiyintiaoshenfang" (Baihui And Yintang Adjustable God Prescription) On Insomnia Caused By Deficiency Of Both Heart And Spleen

ObjectiveThis study aims at observing the effect of "Baiyintiaoshenfang" on insomnia caused by deficiency of both heart and spleen via clinical randomized controlled trial. To verify a better therapeutic schedule by comparing the clinical effect of "Baiyintiaoshenfang" with the conventional acupuncture treatment. By comparison of two groups of patients before treatment, after treatment, the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) in the score at the end of treatment and patient relapse a month later. To provide a basis for new standard of clinical acupuncture treatment in curing insomnia.MethodsThis clinical study collected 80 patients from Taipei Lei-Li clinic of Chinese medicine who met the diagnostic criteria and inclusion criteria ranged from June 2015 to February 2016. The patients were divided randomly into two groups. Two groups are using "Baiyintiaoshenfang" group (40 cases) and conventional acupuncture group (40 cases) via table of random number. The two groups were collected every other day for 1 times,3 times a week,6 times for 1 course. The clinical observation of 2 courses, after the end of treatment evaluation of patients with PSQI value and overall curative effect. The scores of Pittsburgh sleep quality index(PSQI) were obtained before, after the treatment and one month after the therapy course. Application of SPSS19.0 software for statistical analysis, the indexes and the overall efficacy of the two groups were evaluated.Results37 cases in "Baiyintiaoshenfang" group and 39 cases in conventional acupuncture group finished the clinical trial finally.4 cases shed. In the course of treatment, of which 3 patients did not provide reasons and not to return, so lost of data. There is a feeling of patients with treatment efficiency is too slow, so give up this study treatment.The baseline condition of Two cases were in the age distribution, gender, age, disease duration, analysis of insomnia before and before treatment PSQI score difference, were not statistically significant (P> 0.05), two groups were comparable.In evaluation, "Baiyintiaoshenfang" group and conventional acupuncture group of the total effective rate was 83.78% and 76.92%, there was significant difference between the two groups (P＜ 0.05). In terms of PSQI score, two of the groups could obviously reduce the score. There is no significant difference between the two groups (P＞ 0.05).Both groups have to improve the efficacy of insomniaConclusionBoth of the "Baiyintiaoshenfang" group and conventional acupuncture group in the clinical treatment of deficiency of insomnia caused by defic iency of both heart and spleen have a certain effect. In this study, "Baiy intiaoshenfang" of the overall effect is superior to conventional acupunc ture method, but in the long term effect of persistence is relatively sta bleshows better curative effect and more stable long-term efficacy.
