[Objective] This paper tried to investigate the level of gratitude, posttraumatic growth and analyze their differences in demographic factors of patients after coronary stent implantatation. Explored how the patients after coronary stent implantatation to apply the gratitude to enhance psychological capital and rich social resources to promote the posttraumatic growth, and then constructed the act model of gratitude’s effect on the posttraumatic growth in patients after coronary stent implantatation. The study aimed to provid a theoretical basis for the intervention program on gratitude about promoting posttraumatic growth in patients after coronary stent implantatation.[Methods]1. Through literature review, we described the research progress of posttraumatic growth, gratitude, resilience and social support and discussed their mutual relations, summarized its research overview and development direction. Theoretical analysis was applied to explore the possible protection mechanism of the gratitude on the psychological growth of patients after coronary stent implantatation and the theoretical foundation that can guide this research.2. Posttraumatic Growth Inventory (PTGI), Gratitude Question (GQ-6), Resilience Scale(RS) and Perceived Social Support Scale(PSSS) were adopted for cross-section study. Through the method of the convenience sampling,242 patients after coronary stent implantatation were investigated for the level of post traumatic growth, gratitude, resilience and social support in three comprehensive hospitals in HangZhou.3. Through the methods of pearson correlation and multiple linear regression to analyze the relationship between gratitude, resilience, perceived social support and posttraumatic growth.Clarifed the psychological mechanism of gratitude’effect on the posttraumatic growth in patients after coronary stent implantation, and constructed the act model that gratitude impacted on the posttraumatic growth of patients through the resilience and social support directly and indirectly.[Results]1. On the basis of literature review and theoretical analysis, research framework was formed to guide this study.2. The results of cross-section survey:①the mean score of posttraumatic growth, gratitude were 55.54(SD=15.01),28.90(SD=3.73).The mean score of resilience was 131.33(SD=18.45), at the medium level of resilience. The mean score of perceived social support was 65.65(SD=11.37),at the level of high social support.②The score of posttraumatic growth, gratitude, resilience and perceived social support of patients after coronary stent implantation were different in demographic characteristics. ③ There were obvious correlation between gratitude, resilience, perceived social support and posttraumatic growth. Gratitude was positively correlated with posttraumatic growth, resilience and perceived social support. Resilience was positively correlated with posttraumatic growth and perceived social support. Perceived social support was positively correlated with posttraumatic growth. Regression analysis showed that gratitude, resilience (the meaning of life, self-reliance), perceived social support (family support) were influence factors of posttraumatic growth.④The structural equation model was constructed, which gratitude was independent variable, resilience and perceived social support were mediator variable, and posttraumatic growth was dependent variable. The results showed that gratitude of patients after coronary stent implantatation could positively influence posttraumatic growth score directly, resilience and perceived social support can also positively affect posttraumatic growth score directly. In the indirected path, gratitude can have a positive role on posttraumatic growth by the mediating effect of resilience and perceived support. Resilience and perceived social support were the mediator variable between gratitude and posttramatic growth. [Conclusions]The gratitude of patients after coronary stent implantatation was at a general level, resilience was in the middle level, the overall posttraumatic growth was acceptable, but perceived social support was at a higher level. Gratitude of patients after coronary stent implantation could positively influence posttraumatic growth score directly, resilience and perceived social support can also positively affect posttraumatic growth score directly. In the indirected path, gratitude can have a positive role on posttraumatic growth by the mediating effect of resilience and perceived social support. Therefore, pay attention to the predictive effect of gratitude, resilience and perceived social support to posttraumatic growth and develop intervention strategies according to their own and controllable factors could provide new thinkings for improving the patients quality of life.
