Preliminary Clinical Studies Of Urine Noradrenoline Levels In Serum Of Patients With Sympathetic Type Of Cervical Spondylosis

Objective The pathogenesis about sympathetic type of cervical spondylosis has not yet uniform,and there has no explicit indices to quantitatively diagnose. This article is a summary of the research conducted by our predecessors on the pathogenesis about sympathetic type of cervical spondylosis. And to preliminary discuss about the clinically explicit indices to quantitatively diagnose through the change of urine noradrenaline(NA)levels in serum of patients with sympathetic type of cervical spondylosis.Methods To choose 20 cases of patients that meet the recruited standard with sympathetic type of cervical spondylosis as the case group. To choose 20 cases of patients with other types of cervical spondylosis(including the soft tissue type, the vertebral artery type,the cervical spondylotic myelopathy, the nerve root type and the mixed-type cervical spondylosis) as the control group. There have the requirements for the first time to see the doctor, the medical history between 3-5 years, and anyone who is not related to drug therapy before treatment. To choose 20 healthy subjects as the normal group. All cases must be checked before admitting into the group for the blood routine examination, the urine routine examination, the liver and kidney function, and require all the indicators normal. All patients have been collected in urine samples for detection of urinary concentrations of NA on an empty stomach and a quiet state in the morning. There was no significant difference under the premise of the general data(including gender, age, etc).Respectively determine the noradrenoline concentraction in the urine of case group, control group and normal group. And to compare the urine levels of norepinephrine concentration in the case group, the control group and the normal group to see if there is a statistical difference. Meanwhile, to score the case group according to the《evaluation of the scale about cervical spondylosis in clinical》.Then, to evaluate the rank on the basis of mildly grade, moderately grade and severely grade, and to make the linear correlation analysis and statistics.Results There was no significant difference in the case group, the control group and the normal group under the premise of the general data(including gender, age, etc).The noradrenoline concentraction in the urine of normal group was not significantly different with the noradrenoline concentraction in the urine of control group(P>0.05).The noradrenoline concentraction in the urine of case group was significantly different with the noradrenoline concentraction in the urine of control group(P<0.01).The noradrenoline concentraction in the urine of case group was significantly different with the noradrenoline concentraction in the urine of normal group(P<0.01).And the concentration of NA in urine of the case group were significantly higher than that of the normal group. It can be stated that the sympathetic nerve excites, the concentration of NA in the urine increases. Therefore, in the pathogenesis of the sympathetic type of cervical spondylosis, NA plays an important role. The noradrenoline concentraction in the urine of mildly grade group, moderately grade group and severely grade group was significantly different(P<0.01),and shows linearly related. Confirmed that with the sympathetic nerves the more severe the symptoms, the higher the concentration of NA in the urine.ConclusionsThe urine noradrenoline levels can be a clinically quantitative indicator to diagnose sympathetic type of cervical spondylosis. It can be verified that NA plays an important role in the pathogenesis of sympathetic type of cervical spondylosis. And there provides a new studying direction on the clinical study about the quantitative diagnosis and treatment for the sympathetic type of cervical spondylosis.
