Observation On Patients With Sympathetic Type Of Cervical Spondylosis After Traditional Chinese Medicine Syndrome Differentiation Treatment

OBJECTIVEThe improvement of on the state of patients with sympathetic cervical spondylosis after the intergrated treatment of Wendan decoction and the comprehensive treatment of Chinese massage and traction.METHOD(1) Subjects:52 People who were diagnosed with sympathetic cervical spondylosis and received medical attention, care, or treatment at the Hospital during February in 2007 to May in 2009. The participants are randomized into a test group of 26 participants and a control group of 26 participants.(2) The test group takes Wendan decoction and goes through a comprehensive treatment of Chinese massage and traction for a contiuous 14 days while Estazolam, gamma-Oryzanol and Vitamin B1 are given to the control group and goes through the same treatment as the test group.(3) Evaluation:Two groups will be judged according to the evaluation standard for clinical effect after the treatment.RESULTSIn search of the 14-day treatment,8 out of the 26 participants of the test group fully recovered from the illness while 11 cases were reported excellent effective,6 cases for effective and 1 case for ineffective, of which the effectiveness for the treatment is 96.2%. There are 3 out of the 25 participants of the control group fully recovered from the illness while 5 cases were reported excellent effective,12 cases for effective and 6 case for ineffective, of which the effectiveness for the treatment is 76.9%. The result indicates that the test group is superior to the control group in comparison of the improvement. (P<0.05).CONCLUSIONSThe application of Wendan decoction and comprehensive treatment of Chinese massage and traction on patients with sympathetic cervical spondylosis brings more satisfactory effect on treatment. The result is markedly superior to of which the control group taking western medicines.
