Objective: To explore the prognostic factors and evaluate the value of adjuvant chemotherapy in the patients with stage Ⅱ colon cancer. Methods:Between January 2009 and December 2012,160 patients with stage Ⅱ colon cancer who had received radical surgery were retrospectively analyzed and followed up, the survival rate was estimated by Kaplan-Meier method and compared with Log-rank method, Differences between differe- nt groupswere compared by Chi-Square method. COX proportional hazards model for multivariate analysis. Results: Univariate analysis: vascular invasion andtumor infiltration depth are adverse prognostic factors(P <0.05); further multivariate analysis: vascular invasion and tumor infiltration depth were still independent prognostic factor affect survival. The overall total of 80. 14%(113/141) of patients received adjuvant chemotherapy, adjuvant chemotherapy group and no chemotherapy 3-year survival rate was not significant(P> 0. 05).Conclusion: The patientis with stage Ⅱ colon, the study found tumor infiltration depth and vascular invasion are independent prognostic factors affect survival. Most of stage Ⅱ patients received adjuvant chemotherapy for colon cancer, but it didn’t prolong survival.
