The Spleen Viscera Theory And Its Clinical Application Before The Song Dynasty

This dissertation, using academic way exhaustively summarized the related content of Spleen viscera during the two periods of before Song Dynasty(Qin Han to sui and tang dynasties) and Song Jinyuan, clarified the development of spleen viscera theory and clinical application from the origin, revealed the characteristics of spleen viscera theory and the basic rules of syndrome differentiation and treatment in these two periods.There was a lot interpretation about the basic properties of the spleen and stomach, the pulse, and the basic lesion in the literature before Song Dynasty, differentiation of symptoms and signs developed into a system, which is relatively weak in the treatment of spleen and stomach diseases. It comprehensively discussed the basic characteristics of the spleen and stomach, the methods of syndrome-differentiation are varied, according to the surplus and deficiency of Qi syndrome(dialectical of deficiency and excess), according to the cold and heat syndrome, according to the location and the form of spleen to differentiate the symptoms and signs. Pulse condition plays an important role in diagnosing diseases of the spleen and stomach, there is no obvious dependent relationship between the disease and syndrome of the spleen and stomach in this period, the relationship between syndrome differentiation of spleen and stomach and the clinical medication are not close. This period is the formation period of the theory of spleen viscera.During the period of Song Jin Yuan, the theory of spleen viscera inherited the relevant contents of the literatures before Song Dynasty, In particular, which mainly depend on the basic properties of the spleen and stomach. Doctors pay more attention to the application of treatment based on syndrome differentiation in spleen viscera, More extensive and thorough discussion on the etiology and pathogenesis of spleen stomach disease, appeared the method of syndrome differentiation with disease, which has became the main mode of clinical treatment of the syndrome differentiation and treatment, and begin to form a complete system for the treatment of the machine.
