In this thesis, chemical components and pharmacodynamics of cunninghamia lanceolata from bark were studied. It contains alkaloids, flavonoids, steroidal or triperpenoids, cardiac glycoside, saponin, organic acids by physical and chemical preliminary identification.We used steam distillation and supercritical fluid carbon dioxide technique to extract the essential oil, and analyzed the chemical constituent of essential oil extracted by steam distillation qualitatively and quantitatively by gas chromatography-mas spectrometry (GC-MS). The 40 compounds had been identified from 51 chromatographic peaks, which accounted for 94.68% of total essential oil. The main components are Cedrol(39.29%)、 a.-Cedrene (13.35%)、a.-Terpineol (12.95%)、Guaiene (3.55%)、Dextropimarinal (2.64%)、δ-Elemicin (2.55%)、 Cadalene(2.38%) etc. Borneol、α-Cadinol、Guaiene、α-Caryophyllene、β-Selinene and δ-Cadinene was first detected in it. Using xylene to induce inflammation model, studied the anti-inflammatory activity of extraction.The experimental results showed that ethyl acetate fraction of water extraction is the activity part.In addition, the antioxidant and antibacterial effect were also studied.Using silica gel column chromatography, high-speed countercurrent chromatogr--aphy, high pressure column, TLC thin layer chromatography and high performance liquid chromatography isolated and purified ethyl acetate extract, getting 5 compounds. IR,13C-NMR,1H-NMR and EI-MS analysis identified the chemical structure of the compound. Five compounds werer:1.β-sitosterol (compound Ⅰ), 2.Kaempferol (compound Ⅱ),3. Quercetin (compound Ⅲ),4. Gallic acid (compound Ⅳ),5. Vanillin milk glycoside (compound Ⅲ).These compounds are fist getted from it.The pharmacologicaleffect of β-sitosterol,Kaempferol, Quercetin is mainly manifested in the anti-inflammatory, antioxidant,bacteriostasis,whicn is consistent with the pharmacological action of cunninghamia lanceolata from bark.
