Objectives To evaluate the effectiveness of rehabilitation therapy at early time with Preferred assistive devices on increasing the fugl-meyer assessment, self-efficacy,activities of daily living(ADL) in acute ischemic stroke patients after mechanical recanalization.Methods86 acute ischemic stroke patients after mechanical recanalization who were eligible were selected by convenience sampling method, and the participants were randomly assigned to receive rehabilitation therapy at early time with preferred assistive devices intervention for 6 weeks and standard routine rehabilitation exercise or just the standard routine rehabilitation exercise. Each group of intervention group and the comparison group was 43 cases.Data were collected before intervention and after intervention, with questionnaire of demographic data of acute ischemic stroke patients after mechanical recanalization, Chinese version Fugl- Meyer rating scale(FM) movement function,Chronic disease self-efficacy scale and barthel index to evaluate the intervention effect on movement function, self-efficacy and activity of daily living. The descriptive statistics, chi-square Text, t test and the repetitive measurement deviation analysis were used to analyze all the date with Statistical Analysis Software SPSS21.0Results1 The baseline data of the two group was balanced and comparable.2 The score of Fugl- Meyer rating scale increased faster in the intervention group compared with that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01) according to the results of repeated-measures analysis of variance, and there was interaction effect with the two factors of time and group(P<0.01). The difference of score of Fugl- Meyer rating scale between the two groups was significantly(P<0.01).3 The score of self-efficacy increased faster in the intervention group compared with that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01)according to the results of repeated-measures analysis of variance, and there was interaction effect with the two factors of time and group(P<0.01). The difference of score of self-efficacy between the two groups was significantly(P<0.01).4 The score of barthel index increased faster in the intervention group compared with that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01) according to the results of repeated-measures analysis of variance, and there was interaction effect with the two factors of time and group(P<0.01). The difference of score of barthel index between the two groups was significantly(P<0.01).Conclusions The rehabilitation therapy at early time with preferred assistive devices can improve fugl-meyer assessment, the score of self-efficacy,activities of daily living in acute ischemic stroke patients after mechanical recanalization in short period, but it still need to study on the long term effect.
