| Objective: Discussion about the cases of postoperative foot drop using two different external fixator in near-end tibial transportion osteotomy. Methods: Retrospective analysis of 148 patients’ clinical data from July 2012 to May 2014 in the First Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University Microscopic repair surgery by using Ilizarov external fixator and Orthofix external fixation in tibial lengthening osteotomy. Results: Follow-up time is 1~1.3 years, an average of 1.15 years. All patients’ tibial defects were repaired. There were 37 cases of patients with foot drop complications after tibial lengthening osteotomy, in which 26 cases by using Ilizarov external fixation and 11 cases by using Orthofix external fixation. Conclusion: The incidence of Ilizarov external fixator on tibial proximal osteotomy prolonged in patients with footdrop rate was significantly higher than that of the Orthofix External fixing frame of the patients. The author thinks strictly surgical skills, Preoperative careful design, intraoperative fine operation, patients were followed up closely in time are the keys to reduce postoperative complications foot drop in tibial lengthening osteotomy. |
