Objective: To investigate the clinical characteristics, outcomes of maternal and neonatal, treatments of patients with pernicious placenta previain in late pregnancy, and analyze the risk factors of placenta accreta. Methods: 49 cases of late pregnancy with pernicious placenta previa in the First Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University from 2012 June to 2015 May were included, which were divided into placenta implantation group(28 patients) and non-placenta implantation group(21 patients) according to the clinical diagnosis and pathological diagnosis. Thereafter, clinical characteristics, outcomes of maternal and neonatal, treatments of patients in the two groups were investigated retrospectively, and risk factors of pernicious placenta previa with placenta implantation were analyzed. Result: The pernicious placenta previain morbidity was 2.2‰ in the First Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University from 2012 June to 2015 May, among which with placenta implantation was 1.2‰. The age and previous pregnancies had no significant difference between implantation group and non-implantation group(P>0.05). However, compared with non-implantation group, implantation group had more previous cesarean section number(P< 0.05). Logistic regression analysis results showed that, cesarean history(OR=3.981,P=0.031,95%CI:0.996~15.414) was the independent risk factor of pernicious placenta previa with placenta accrete. Compared with non-implantation group, implantation group had more postpartum hemorrhage amount, more cases of uterus removal, postoperative intensive medicine into the rate high, more cases of abnormal temperature, more cases of long hospitalization days, and more cases of bladder injury. There were no statistical differences in neonatal weight and 1 min in Apgar score(P> 0.05). Conclusion: Pernicious placenta previa with placenta increta was likely to cause maternal hysterectomy, postpartum hemorrhage, Turning to intensive medicine, infection and the extension of time in hospital. The more cesarean history was risk factor of pernicious placenta previa with placenta increta.
