Objective: To evaluate the serological characteristics of peripheral ulcerative keratitis, and analyse the clinical treatment effect of drugs and surgery. Methods: Collect the base data of 36 eyes of 31 patients which were admitted by the First Hospital of Jilin University from October 2014 to October 2015. After diagnosis, the patients were classified by the degrees of corneal ulcer. The clinical efficacy of different degrees of corneal ulcer were analysed after drug therapy or surgery.Results:1. The ratio of male to female was 1.1:1. The patients’ age ranged from 24 years old to 82 years old. The average age of male was(59. 75±13.88) years old and female was 59.33±11.58 years old, the patients’ age had no significant difference.16.13%(5/31) of these cases were suffered from bilateral disease, and 83.87%(26/31) were unilateral.2. 29.03%(9/31) of patients were complicated with systemic autoimmune diseases. The serological positive rate was 72.22%(26/36). Among them, the diagnosis of 9 cases of patients with rheumatism, the detection rate of erythrocyte sedimentation rate(ESR) was 77.78%(7/9), C-reactive protein(C RP) was 66.67%(6/9), and rheumatoid factor(RF) was 55.56%(5/9); diagnosis for six patients with vasculitic disorders, the detection rate of p-ANCA was 83.33%(5/6), protease 3(PR3) was 66.67%(4/6) and c-ANCA was 50.00%(3/6).3. 36 eyes of patients of which were with mild marginal corneal ulcer, simple drug treatment effective rate was 23.07%; with moderate surgical treatment effective rate was 88.89%; and with severe surgical treatment effective rate is 78.57%.Conclusion:1. PUK reflects a series of chronic, progressive eye diseases, which often occurs in the elderly, and there is no gender difference. The causes can be associated with avariety of autoimmune diseases, especially closely related to collagen vascular disease.2 Serological indicators are commonly used in the diagnosis o f PUK. ESR, CRP and RF are the most sensitive in patients with rheumatic diseases, p-ANCA,c-ANCA and PR3 have diagnostic significance in patients with collagen vascular disease.3. For patients with mild peripheral ulcerative keratitis, surgical treatment combined with drugs therapy can result better clinical effect than severe patients.Severe patients should choose surgery treatment as well as drug therapy, but the effect may be poorer.
