Objective To analyze the perioperative risk factors of postoperative pulmonary complications(PPC)in elderly patients in order to offer a guide for prevention and treatment. Methods The clinical data of 92 elderly patients underwent lung-resection-operations in our team were univariately analyzed. The significant factors were analyzed by logistic regression. Results 26 of the 92 patients had PPC,the incidence rate was 28.26%. The results showed that PPC might be associated with age(≥70 years old),anemia, smoking, overweight, lower serum albumn(<40g/L), diabetes mellitus, the respiratory diseases, pulmonary dysfunction(FEV1%<70%),short preparation(< 5 days), thoracotomy, resection of more than one lobe, long operation time(>3h),bloodloss>100ml.Six factors of those were independent risk factors for PPC.Conclusion There are many related risk factors which may cause PPC.The intervention shall be made in those modifiable factors to reduce the incidence of PPC.
