Schistosomiasis, found in both humans and animals, is a major parasitic disease in the Yueyang. As a heavily epidemic and priority control area, it has the features such as : wide in prevalent areas, in both humans and animals, difficult to control and prevent,etc. Over time, in terms of epidemic factors,epidemic features and the new situations in control of schistosomes, the municipal party committee and government of Yueyang probe into and confirm new countermeasures. By means of mutual cooperation and common operations of each relevant department in the popular area, it resulted a new turning point of schistosomiasis control in destroying the oncomclania and curing this disease. However, by the end of 2014, more than one county, district, popular in village has yet to reach schistosomiasis transmission control standards,only a few have reached transmission blocking standard, the schistosomiasis epidemic in the whole city is still not optimistic. Therefore, analysing the present policies and situation concerning the schistosomiasis prevention of Yueyang, and putting forward effective countermeasures according to the outstanding problems, which has very important reference value and realistic significance to improve and optimize the schistosomiasis prevention of Yueyang and our country, and to further consolidate and enrich the theory research results.In this paper, according to discover problems, analyze and solve problems about the logic thinking of writing, the first part, introduce the research status at home and abroad, research ideas, methods, as well as the significance and innovation. The second part focused on defining the concepts and epidemic factors, involving the basic theory and important significance. The third part, analysing systematically the schistosomiasis prevention from 1950-1970 s, and 1980-2003 s, to after 2004 firstly; And finding out the main problems, such as unfulfillment of Infection control, uncooperation of department, inadequate funding, and lack of professional team, etc; analysing the causes lastly in terms of the complex natural environment, people’s unreasonable understanding,government’s unimportant, and the own characteristics. The fourth part is to bring forward the basical framework and ideas to reform and improve the schistosomiasis prevention in terms of strengthening the source governance and residents management, strengthening the branches ’ coordination and comprehensive governance, strengthening the government leading and transmission control; and strengthening the policy support and personnel training,strengthening the health education and knowledge propaganda, hoping to provide some reference and inspiration for the reform in this field in the new period.
