Objective:To understand the quality of life of patients with primary dysmenorrhea (PD),this paper discusses the TCM syndrome type and the quality of life, the correlation between traditional Chinese medicine for treatment of PD and carry out the evaluation of clinical curative effect, health education to provide new ideas and methods.Methods:The right patients were collected through outpatient service of Chengdu university of traditional Chinese medical hospital, and the PD questionnaire were designed through reviewing the related literatures-and consulting expert opinions. The WHOQOL-BREF were used to investigate PD patients’quality of life, and the cross-sectional survey questionnaire method were used to investigate 115 cases of patients with dysmenorrhea and 90 cases of healthy controls. The results of the survey were build database by EXCEL software and made statistical analysis with SPSS 17.0 software.Results:The QOL score of patients with dysmenorrhea were under the healthy control groups’. According to the card type frequency distribution analysis, five card type 115 cases were received.TCM syndrome type distribution:qi and blood stagnation syndrome(48/115), cold and dampness stagnation syndrome(31/115), qi and blood deficiency syndrome(15/l 15), liver and kidney deficiency syndrome(12/115),dampness and heat stagnation syndrome(9/115); The whole evaluation score of health condition of qi and blood stagnation syndrome was different from qi and blood weakness syndrome’s,p<0.05. Other aspects had no obvious difference, P> 0.05.Conclusions:1.The excessive syndrome is more common in the patients with dysmenorrhea; while the qi and blood stagnation syndrome is the most common excessive syndrome, the cold and dampness stagnation syndrome is the second common excessive syndrome.2.The score of QOL of patients with dysmenorrhea is under the normal control’s.3. The score of own evaluation of qi and blood stagnation syndrome was different from qi and blood weakness syndrome’s. Other aspects had no obvious difference.
