Modern pharmacological researches show that Mate Tea and Mulberry Leaf have many pharmacological activities, can be used to prevent the occurrence of various diseases and exhibit broad application prospects. In this study, the active ingredients- caffeine, theobromine and ursolic acid in Mate Tea were selected as investigated substances. By the optimization conditions of HPLC analytical conditions, the HPLC determination methods of the three compounds were established. Results showed that the established HPLC methods exhibited the simple, rapid, and sensitive advantages, and provided effective analysis method for quality control of Mate Tea. Using water and different concentrations of ethanol as extraction solvent respectively, the paper compared the different content of caffeine, theobromine, ursolic acid in Mate Tea.By improving the HPLC analytical conditions, the active ingredients of chlorogenic acid、rutin and quercetin from Mulberry Leaf were analyzed and the HPLC determination methods were optimizated, through investigating HPLC conditions. The HPLC methods for chlorogenic acid、rutin and quercetin in Mulberry Leaf was estabilishes which could detect the three kinds of compounds at the same time. Results showed that the established HPLC method exnibit the simple, rapid, and sensitive advantages and can provide effective analysis method for quality control of Mulberry Leaves. With water and 65% ethanol as extraction solvent respectively, the paper compared the different content of flavonoids, chlorogenic acid, rutin, quercetin in Mulberry Leaf.To sum up, the paper established the HPLC analysis methods for theobromine、caffeine and ursolic acid in Mate Tea and the chlorogenic acid、rutin、isoquercitrin in Mulberry Leaves, which can provide analyses of composition and quality control of Mulberry Leaves.
