Objective:To discuss the effect of Tongxinluo cupusule in the patients with high blood pressure on the level of blood homocysteine( Hcy) and the ratio of urinetracealbumin to creatinine( UACR).Methods:In total 100 patients with high Blood pressure were enrolled by the inclusion criteria from the outpatient department and in-patient of cardiology of Shanxi Province People’s Hospital from June 2013 to February 2015. Eligible patients were randomly assigned to 2 groups that received either Tongxinluo capsules(Tongxinluo group) or Folic Acid tables(Folic group) in addition to their standard drug therapy for essential hypertension(in a 1:1 ratio). The dosage used in this study was 4 capsules(1.04g)of tongxinluo 3 times daily and 1 tablet(5mg) of Folic Acid once daily. The standard drug therapy in this study used enalaprilat and L amlodipine. Patients were followed up appointments at the 21 th, 42 th, 63 th, 120 th days after treatment. At each visit, patients were asked about the occurrence of any adverse effect; in addition, the blood levels were reviewed, the dose of the standard drugs was adjusted by blood levels and recorded. The changes of traditional Chinese blood stasis syndrome score, blood Hcy, UACR and blood pressure in both groups before and after treatment were observed.Results:1. After treatment,the both groups showed a significant decrease in the traditional Chinese blood stasis syndrome score compare to pre-treatment( P < 0.05), but the blood stasis with Tongxinluo capsules led to a significantly greater reduction than that Folic group( P < 0.05). The effective rate of blood stasis syndrome score in Tongxinluo group and Folic group were 97.57% and 77.50%, respectively.2. After treatment, the levels of blood Hcy decreased from 27.86 ± 4.47μmol/L to16.07 ± 5.24μmol/L in the Tongxinluo group( P < 0.05) and from 25.80 ± 5.58μmol/L to19.71 ± 4.77 μmol/L in the Folic group( P < 0.05), and the levels of blood Hcy withTongxinluo capsules led to a significantly greater reduction than that Folic group( P <0.05).3. After treatment, the levels of UACR decreased from 62.04 ± 30.58mg/g to 26.32 ±12.87mg/g in the Tongxinluo group( P < 0.05) and from 66.09 ± 41.71mg/g to 41.70 ±26.88mg/g in the Folic group( P < 0.05), and the levels of UACR with Tongxinluo group led to a significantly greater reduction than that Folic group( P < 0.05).4. The levels of pressure did not differ between the 2 groups after treatment( P >0.05). Compare to per-treatment, patients in both groups exhibited greater improvement in the systolic blood pressure( P < 0.05); but there were no obvious advantage in the diastolic blood pressure( P > 0.05).Conclusion:1. Tongxinluo capsules have more obvious advantages than western medicine in the improvement of the patients with high blood pressure in blood stasis syndrome. 2. Tongxinluo capsules show greater improvement in the reduction of blood Hcy than using the Folic Acid. 3. Tongxinluo combined Enalaprilat tablets have remarkably stronger function than using single Enalaprilat tablets, in lowering the UARC of patients with high blood pressure.
