ObjectiveOur retrospective study was aimed to discuss the relationship between the function status of pancreatic P-cell in patients with T2DM and heart function.MethodsThe study group.consisted of 75 patients with T2DM received treatment at our hospital from 2012 to 2014 and 24 healthy volunteers with normal blood glucose.75 T2DM patients included were divided into three groups according to the length of the course and accompanying heart failure(NYHA III) or not:new T2DM group whose course≤2 year in 24 cases, T2DM course>2 years without heart failure group in 27cases and T2DM+ heart failure(NYHA Ⅲ)group. The general information, indexes about the function status of pancreatic β-cell, heart function indexes in four groups were compared. Measurement:Serum ANP, BNP, TI, PI and FFA of all subjects were measured in ELISA, serum FPG was measured by glucose oxidase method, FINS were detemined by electrochemiluminescence immunoassay; HOMA-β was calculated. E/A, e/a, S/D, LVEF were measured by chocardiographic assessment. The relationship between the function status of pancreatic P-cell and heart function was discussed.ResultsA total of 99 patients were retrospective analyzed, including 24 in new T2DM group,27 in T2DM course>2 years without heart failure group,24 in T2DM+heart failure(NYHA Ⅲ) group and 24 in healthy control. There was no statistical difference in the levels of WC, SBP, DBP, FFA in four groups. The level of FPG in T2DM course>2 years without heart failure group was obviously higher than that in other three groups. The levels of FINS, HOMA-β, TI in T2DM+ heart failure group were obviously lower than those in the other three groups. The level of PI in T2DM+ heart failure group was obviously higher than those in other three groups. The levels of E/A, e/a, LVEF in T2DM+ heart failure group were obviously lower than those in new T2DM group, T2DM course>2 years without heart failure group and healthy control group. The level of S/D in T2DM+ heart failure group was lower than the control group, but obviously higher than those in other two groups. The levels of ANP, BNP in T2DM+heart failure group were higher than those in other three groups. The level of TI was negatively related to the level of ANP and the level of BNP, but positively related to E/A, LVEF. The level of PI was positively related to the level of BNP, but negatively related to LVEF. HOMA-P was negatively related to ANP and BNP, but positively related to LVEF.ConclusionAlong with the progress of the disease T2DM, the losssituation of pancreatic β-cell function in patients had significant correlation to the decline of heart function in the patients.
