Objective:To explore the correlation between the polymorphism of TRIB3 gene rs2295490 and type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) and coronary heart disease(CHD).Methods:In the case control study,we enrolled 101 T2DM patients[mean age 56.38 years,50 males and 51 females],220 CHD patients [mean age 60.15 years mean age,150 males and 70 females],94 T2DM combined with CHD[mean age 69.9 years mean age,42 males,52 females] as observation group and 151 healthy individuals as control group[59.22 years mean age,102 males and 49 fe males]. Genotypes of TRIB3 gene rs2295490 polymorphisms were detected by PCR and sequenee-based testing.The correlations between the polymorphism of TRIB3 gene rs2295490 and every groups, biochemical indicators of every groups were analyzed,respectively.Results:In the control group,genotypic frequencies of AA, AG and GG of TRIB3 gene rs2295490 were 57%,35% and 8%, and the frequencies of A and G alleles were 75%and 25%,respectively. In the T2DM group, genotypic frequencies of AA, AG and GG of TRIB3 gene rs2295490 were 66.3%,30.7%and 3%,and the frequencies of A and G alleles were 81.7%and 18.3%,respectively.In the CHD group, genotypic frequencies of AA, AG and GG of TRIB3 gene rs2295490 were 50%,41% and 9%,and the frequencies of A and G alleles were 71% and 29%,respectively. In the T2DM combined with CHD group, genotypic frequencies of AA, AG and GG of TRIB3 gene rs2295490 were 58.5%, 37.2% and 4.3%,and the frequencies of A and G alleles were 77.1% and 22.9%,respectively.;In the T2DM group, the TC,TG and LDL-C levels of the AA genotype were lower than those of AG+GG genotype;In the CHD group,the HDL-C levels of the AA genotype were higher than those of AG+GG genotype(t=-9.78, P=0.00);The TG、LDL-C levels of the AA genotype were lower than those of AG+GG genotype(t=2.59, P=0.01; t=6.15,,P=0.00).In the T2DM combined with CHD group,the TC,TG and LDL-C levels of the AA genotype were lower than those of AG+GG genotype;the HDL-C levels of the AA genotype were higher than those of AG+GG genotype.All the differences were statistically significant(t=4.28, P=0.00;/=3.54, P=0.00;t=3.08,P=0.00;t=-2.74, P=0.01).Conclusions:In this study, TRIB3 gene rs2295490 polymorphism has no correlation with T2DM,CHD and T2DM combined CHD.but the G allele may be correlated with dyslipidemia in T2DM,CHD patients.
