Clinical Observation On Modified Erchenpingwei Decoction In The Treatment Of Bronchiectasis Secondary Pulmonary Infection (Lung Phlegm-Turbidity With Heat) And Its Effect On Serum CRP

Objective:To observe the effect of modified Erchenpingwei decoction on patients with bronchiectasis secondary pulmonary infection(Lung phlegm-turbidity with heat),symtoms, signs improved and the influence on serum CRP.Methods:Select 72 cases of patients with bronchiectasis secondary pulmonary infection (Lung phlegm-turbidity with heat),then randomly devided into treatment group (36 cases) and control group (36cases),the actual number of completed treatment group of 35 cases with 1 patient off,the control group 34 cases with 2 patients off, the control group was given oral Avelox and Eucalyptol treatment, the treatment group was given Avelox, Eucalyptol and modified Erchen pingwei decoction. Observe the improvement of symptoms and signs in patients before and after treatment, test the change of serum CRP levels with ELISA method.Results:1. Modified Erchenpingwei decoction treating bronchiectasis secondary pulmonary infection (Lung phlegm-turbidity with heat) of clinical curative effect is distinct. The total effective rate:treatment group is 94.29%,control group is 76.47%,compared the two groups have statistical significance (P<0.05).2. Modified Erchenpingwei decoction can significantly improve the syndromes, especially in chest distress, epigastric fullness, indigestion and loss of appetite anorexia, the treatment group is significantly better than the control group (P<0.05).3. In the two groups before and after treatment in patients with lung rales also has improved, but the two groups after treatment compared with no statistical significance (P>0.05).4. The WBC and NEUT% levels of two groups were significantly lower before and after treatment, but the two groups after treatment compared with no statistical significance (P>0.05).5. In the two groups before and after treatment in patients with serum CRP level significantly decreased, and the treatment group is better than the control group (P<0.05).6. There is no obviously abnormal safety index in the two groups before and after treatment.Conclusion:1. Modified Erchenpingwei decoction can improve the patients’clinical curative effect significantly, especially in chest distress, epigastric fullness, indigestion and loss of appetite anorexia.2.Modified Erchenpingwei decoction can reduce bronchiectasis secondary pulmonary infection(lung phlegm-turbidity with heat) with serum CRP level.
