Different Frequency Electric Acupuncture "jie Yufang" For The Treatment Of Depression Rats

Objective:Different frequency electric acupuncture "Jie Yufang(shenmen, baihui, taichong)" within the depression rats hippocampal serotonin(5-HT) and adrenocorticotropic hormone(ACTH) content in serum.Methods:Choose success by "Open Field test " screening of SD rats 50, were randomly divided into group A(blank group) and group B(model group), group C(frequency of 2 hz), group D(frequency of 30 hz), E group(frequency 100 hz), each 10 in each group. C, D, E group start of processing after the treatment, after the start of stimulation intensity in rats can tolerate, body slightly twitched as degrees, 20 min/times, 1 time/day, treatment for 3 consecutive weeks; Group A do not do processing. Group B only grab, fixed, not do acupuncture. After 21 days, fasting, abdomen anesthesia blood, stripping the hippocampus fast break the ice. By the method of enzyme-linked immunosorbent(ELISA) to detect each group rats serum adrenocorticotropic hormone content, application of fluorescence spectrophotometry measuring 5-HT in rat hippocampus.Results:In the lowering serum adrenocorticotropic hormone(ACTH),The treatment group(C, D, E) significantly decreased(P < 0.01). And the group C is better than that of group D and group E(P < 0.05);In the ascension in the rat hippocampus serotonin(5-HT) content, Treatment group(C, D, E) content improved significantly(P < 0.01),And group C is better than that of group D and group E, was significant difference(P < 0.05).Conclusion:The application of 2 hz electric acupuncture "Jie Yufang" depression rats effect is remarkable,especially in order to reducing the serum adrenocorticotropic hormone(ACTH), and promoting the hippocampus in serotonin(5-HT) content aspect is significant.
