Objective: To observe and compare clinical effect on Chronic hydrocephalus after aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage between lumboperitoneal shunt and ventriculoperitoneal shunt, further enhances the surgical treatment level, improve the prognosis and To provide the basis for clinical selection of appropriate surgical methods. Methods: From June 2009 to June 2014 in the Second Affiliated Hospital of Hebei Medical University, 36 patients with chronic hydrocephalus after aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage were selected,18 patients undergoing lumboperitoneal shunt were selected as treatment group, and 18 patients undergoing lumboperitoneal shunt were selected as control group. Effect, incidence of complications and Glasgow Coma Scale before and after treatment were compared between the two groups to evaluate the clinical effect of two kinds of surgical treatment for chronic hydrocephalus after aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage. Results: After 6 months of follow-up, the overall response rate(94.5%)of the treatment group higher than the control group(77.8%), the difference is statistically significant(χ2=4.433, P<0.05), the treatment group complications incidence(11.1%)was lower than that of the control group(44.4%), the difference has statistical significance(χ2=4.985, P<0.05).Before and after the operation, the GCS score of the treatment group was(10.6±2.9) and(12.9±2.2),The GCS score of the the control group was(10.5±2.4) and(12.2±2.1).The preoperative GCS score between the treatment group and the control group was not significantly different(t=0.126, P>0.05),their postoperative GCS score all improve, but the GCS score of the treatment groupimproved more obviously(t=1.935, P<0.05).Conclusion:Compare with ventriculoperitoneal shunt, lumboperitoneal shunt has better clinical effect, lower complications and higher improvement of GCS score.
