Objective:To measure and analyze the difference of the multifocal electroretinogram (mfERG) between wet age-related macular degeneration (AMD) patients and normal. To analyze the correlation between mfERG with optical coherence tomography (OCT) in each type of AMD patients. To explore the role of mfERG in diagnosis of wet AMD.Methods:The multifocal electroretinogram and the optical coherence tomography, respectively, detected 25 eyes of 16 elderly healthy people. RETI-Port/Scan 21 ophthalmic ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus and the optical coherence tomography, respectively, measured the mfERG and OCT of Macular in 23 eyes of 16 people who have been diagnosed with wet age-related macular degeneration in the first affiliated hospital of Chongqing Medical University ophthalmology from September 2014 to February 2015. The differences of P1 wave amplitude density and incubation period between wet age-related macular degeneration patients and normal people were subjected to statistical analysis. According to the results of OCT, these wet AMD patients were divided into type I, II, III. And the differences of P1 wave amplitude density and incubation period between each type AMD. The spss21.0 package was used to analyze these data. T-test tests were used in the comparison between the two samples for means. After one-way ANOVA,F analysis were used in the comparison among more than two samples for means, LSD Duncan analysis was used in the comparison between the two samples for means. P<0.05 was a significant difference. Results:Compared with normal people, the P1 wave amplitude density of each ring in the wet AMD patients was significantly reduced(P <0.001). Meanwhile, the incubation period of each ring was no significant. Compared with three type AMD patients and normal people, the P1 wave amplitude density of each ring was significantly reduced (P= 0.000,0.000,0.002,0.001,0.007). Compared with normal people, the P1 wave amplitude density of each ring in the I type AMD patients was no significant.Compared with normal people, the P1 wave amplitude density of R2 in the Ⅱ type AMD patients was significantly reduced(P=0.013).Compared with normal people, the P1 wave amplitude density of each ring in the Ⅲ type AMD patients was significantly reduced (P= 0.000,0.000,0.000,0.000,0.001). Compared with Ⅰ and Ⅱ type AMD patients, the P1 wave amplitude density of each ring was no significant. Compared with Ⅰ and Ⅲ type AMD patients, the P1 wave amplitude density of R2 was significantly reduced(P=0.040). Compared with Ⅱ and Ⅲ type AMD patients, the P1 wave amplitude density of each ring was no significant. while Compared with three type AMD patients and normal people, the P1 wave incubation period was no significant. Conclusions:This study proof that the amplitude density ofmfERG can objectively reflect the macular function in wet AMD patients. The function changes of retinal is correlation with the organizational structure changes of the Foveal in wet AMD patients.
