Objective: Inflammatory bowel disease(IBD) is a chronic and non-specific condition of the intestinal inflammation, including Crohn’s disease(CD) and Ulcerative colitis(UC).The pathogenesis is not completely clear. To investigate the expression of mi R-192 and mi R-21 in the intestinal mucosa and serum from patients of IBD and explore its role and relevance in the pathogenesis of the disease. Methods: Colon specimens were collected from 12 active UC patients, 16 active CD patients and 13 healthy controls, and the sera specimens were collected from13 active UC patients, 10 active CD patients and 10 healthy controls. The expression of mi R-192 and mi R-21 in the intestinal mucosa and sera were detected by PCR. Paired t-test was used for two samples comparison, Spearman test was used for correlation analysis, With P <0.05 for the difference was statistically significant. Results: mi R-192 and mi R-21 were expressed in all groups. Compared with healthy controls, the expression of mi R-192 were significantly decreased in the colon and sera of UC and CD patients(all P<0.05), but the expression of mi R-21 in were significantly increased(all P<0.05). While no obvious difference between UC and CD(P > 0.05).Conclusion: The expression of mi R-192 were decreased in UC and CD patients, and the expression of mi R-21 were increased.
