Objective:Through observing the efficacy of the 15 permanent teeth with infection and necrosis after endodontic pulp regeneration to evaluate the efficacy of the pulp regeneration technique, and to discuss the prospect of pulp regeneration technique, and to provide a better clinical treatment programs to reserve the permanent teeth.Methods:1. Through reading the information to understand the current clinical treatment of the infected and necrotic immature permanent tooth.2. The relevant literature about pulp regeneration were reviewed in order to understand the latest research advances on pulp regeneration technique at home and abroad.3.(1) The clinical date of 15 cases were collected, the patients who visited the First Hospital of Shanxi Medical University and were diagnosed as infected and necrotic immature permanent tooth whose apical were unclosed from April 2013 to Feb 2015.Including the location of the tooth, the vitality of dental pulp, gingival and periodontal conditions, the patient’s gender, age, clinical manifestations and history of trauma and so on.(2) All the teeth were taken apical X-ray film, in order to know the situation of root and apical lesions.(3) All the teeth after pulp regeneration treatment were taken regular follow-up observation, including apical X-rays and electric pulp vitality test(EPT).(4)All the data were collected and analysed. Results:After the 15 immature permanent teeth with infection and necrosis were taken the dental pulp regeneration, the results were divided into three kinds:(1)success:3 cases of them were without percussion pain, and not loosen, the gingival mucosa were normal, and one case elicited positive responses to electric pulp tester(EPT).X-rays found their roots to continue develop, apical foramen were closed and apical lesions disappeared;(2)effective:11 cases of them were without percussion pain, and not loosen, the gingival mucosa were normal, and none of them showed positive responses to electric pulp tester(EPT),X-rays showed no significant root growth, and apical were not closed;(3)failure:1case had percussion pain, no loosen, and there was a labial fistula, so changed the treatment plan. All of the teeth were discolored. Conclusions:After pulp regeneration were used to treat the teeth which missed the key time of the development of the root, the root can continue to develop, root wall thickening, resistance enhancing, the teeth can be better preserved, so the pulp regeneration will be applied to all permanent teeth.
