Objective:To analyze the related risk factors of the incision complications after closed calcaneal fracture surgery, making reference to reduce the incidence of postoperative incision complications of calcaneal fracture. Methods:The medical records of 116 patients(129 calcaneal fractures) were retrospectively analyzed. The univariate analysis of nine factors(fracture type, timing of surgery, traction method, operation time, bonegraft situation, diabetes, hypertension, smoking index, drainage way) that might cause complications of calcaneal incision was conducted. The multiple Logistic regression analysis was conducted for factors with statistical significance. Results:Among 129 cases of calcaneal fracture, 16(12.4%) involved surgical incision complications, including 3(3.1%) of wound dehiscence, 7( 2.3%) of flap margin necrosis, 5( 2. 3%) of hematoma, and 1(0.7%) of osteomyelitis. The results of univariate analysis showed that fracture type, timing of surgery, traction method, operation time, diabetes, hypertension, smoking index, drainage way were relevant to surgical incision complications. The results of multiple Logistic regression analysis showed that smoking index, operation time, pulling method, drainage way were risk factors of calcaneal incision complications.(1)Each additional level of smoking index,Increased risk of complications 1.046 times;(2)Flush catheter drainage risk of complications is 6.847 times the ordinary drainage;(3)The timing of surgery ≤7d risk of complications is 6.067 times the timing of surgery 8-14 days, the timing of surgery ≥14d risk of complications is 2.079 times the timing of surgery 8-14 days.(4)the risk of complications static pull method is 2.519 times the dynamic traction method;(5)By smoking, tight control of blood glucose, choose the appropriate timing of surgery, intraoperative dynamic traction by trained physicians line, use the catheter irrigation and drainage may help reduce the incidence of postoperative wound complications of calcaneal fractures. Conclusions:Smoking index, operation time, pulling method, drainage way were risk factors of calcaneal incision complications. It is helpful for avoiding complications after calcaneal surgeries by choose the appropriate timing of surgery, prohibiting smoking, use dynamic traction by experienced surgeons, and the use of irrigation and drainage catheter。...
