Objective:To conduct a systematic review assessed the effect for outcome improvement of ursodeoxycholic acid(UDCA) therapies for intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy(ICP).Method:Using the databases of Pub Med、EMBASE、Cochrane library、Chinese Bio Medical Literature(CBM)、China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI)and Wanfang China Online Journals were searched before august 2014,for collecting randomized controlled trials that relevant on the effects of UDCA therapy the patients with ICP. After study selection, assess the study and extrac the data.Meta-analyses were performed by Rev Man 5.0 soft-ware.Results:Twenty-one RCTs involving 1249 pregnant women were include. The following date were the results of meta-analysis of UDCA for improving the outcomes of ICP:comparing UDCA vs all controls had statistical significantly on Apgar score ≤7 at 5minutes(OR=0.43,95%CI:0.28~0.67;P=0.0002)、hospitalization in neonatal intensive care unit(NICU)(OR=0.43,95%CI:0.23~0.80;P=0.008)、total prematurity(OR=0.59,95%CI:0.44~0.79;P=0.0005)、fetal distress(OR=0.70,95%CI:0.51~0.96;P=0.03)、asphyxia neonatorum(OR=0.34,95%CI:0.20~0.57;P<0.0001)、meconium stained amniotic fluid(OR=0.64,95%CI:0.44~0.93;P=0.02)、birth weight(WMD=232.03,95%CI:5.58~458.47;P=0.04)、delivery gestational age(OR=1.42,95%CI:0.23~2.61;P<0.00001).There is no statistical significance on postpartum bleeding(WMD=22.24,95%CI:-19.46~63.95;P=0.30)and cesarean section rate(OR=1.04,95%CI:0.72~1.49;P=0.84).Conclution:Based on a meta-analysis, the outcomes of ICP could be improved with UDCA.
