Objective:Discuss the clinical characteristics and treatment effects in our hospital of patients with acute myeloid leukemia, sum up the main prognosis factors. Methods:Retrospective analysis 122 cases of acute myeloid leukemia patients in our hospital in January, 2008 to June 2010, discuss the clinical characteristics and treatment effects. Analysis of the data by SPSS17.0, using life table method to describe 0,1, 2, 3, 4, 5 year cumulative survival rate,progression-free survival rate and describe the curve Survival analysis(log rank test and COX regression model)was used to analysis the prognostic factors. Results:In the 18 evaluable M3 patients, complete remission(CR)rate after the first induction chemotherapy was 100%, 1 case was lost, the remaining 17 cases were alive at the end of follow-up, 1 patient relapsed,5-year overall survival rate was 100%;,the progression-free survival was 94.1%.In the 104 evaluable(except M3) AML patients, the complete remission(CR)rate after the first cycle of induction chemotherapy was 76.6%, 20 cases after the second induction chemotherapy, the CR rate was 60.%.After 2 times induction chemotherapy, the overall CR rate was 88.4%. There were 92 cases finally reached CR,20 cases were lost in different stage of consolidation therapy.72 patients(78.3%) adhere to effective consolidation chemotherapy, 12 cases relapse during the follow-up, 34 cases death(including eight cases death in relapsed patients),there were 38 cases of long-term survival of more than five years, the5-year overall survival rate and progression-free survival was42.5% 、39.0% respectively(life table). Risk stratification, age, initial peripheral leukocyte, the first induction chemotherapyachieving complete remission, 21 th day’s platelet count of chemotherapy and consolidation therapy are important factors affecting survival. Conclusions:After standardized treatment, CR rate after the first induction Chemotherapy was 100%,the overall 5-year overall survival rate and progression-free survival respectively was 100% 、94.1% for the APL. It has become incurable leukemia; In the acute myeloid leukemia, the overall CR rate after 2 times induction chemotherapy was 88.4%.5 year overall survival rate and progression-free survival was 42.5%,39.0%. The main prognostic factors of influencing long-term survival were risk stratification, age, initial peripheral leukocyte, 21 th day’s platelet count of chemotherapy, induction chemotherapy achieving complete remission and the conso1 idation therapy.
