ObjectiveTo study the different expression profiles of plasma mi RNAs(micro RNA) between the patients with small artery occlusive stroke(SAO) and the healthy controls.MethodsEight patients with SAO classified by TOAST and the paralell healthy adults as controls were included in the study. High-throughput sequencing technology was used to detect the expression profiles of plasma mi RNAs of each subject. Those mi RNAs that showed significant differences with controls were chosen and futher validated by real-time quantitative PCR. The target genes were predicted by the bioinformatic analysis.ResultsThe expression profiles of mi RNA-127、mi RNA-99b-5p、mi RNA-320 and other 16 mi RNAs were significantly upregulated while mi RNA-451 a and other 3 mi RNAs of SAO group were significantly downregulated when compared with those of controls. The results of real-time quantitative PCR proved highly consistent with those of high-throughput test, when mi RNA-127 、 mi RNA-99b-5p 、 mi RNA-320 and mi RNA-451 a were considered. Bioinformatics analysis of the target genes predicted that the differentially expressed mi RNAs primarily related with cell proliferation, adhesion, macromolecule metabolic and other biological function phylogeny. ConclusionThe expression profiles of plasma mi RNAs between SAO and healthy controls showed significantly different, suggesting that mi RNAs may play a regulatory role in SAO pathogenesis by target genes.
