The Clinical Study Of Zedoary Oil And Mitomycin In The Treatment Of Advanced Bladde Cancer That After Embolization

Objective: To observe the clinical curative effect of traditional Chinese medicine Zedoary Oil in combination with mitomycin in bladder arterial chemoembolization treatment of advanced bladder cancer.Methods: A total of 60 patients with unresectable advanced bladder were divided into control group and observation group randomly. All the patients of these two groups were given bladder arterial chemoembolization therapy. The control group was treated with bladder arterial chemoembolization by iodinated oil and mitomycin, but the observation group was added Zedoary Oil on the basis of the control group. The effect of traditional Chinese medicine Zedoary Oil was evaluated by the living quality of patients. The clinical curative effect and adverse reaction of the drug. The short-term curative effect was evaluated by tumor size of pre-therapy and post-therapy and the time of blood urine. The long-term curative effect was evaluated by the Progression-Free-Survival(PFS) of the patients and survival rate of two years follow the treatment. The change of blood, liver function and gastrointestinal reaction were used to evaluate the adverse reaction of Zedoary Oil.Results:(1)In the respect of living quality, after the treatment with bladder arterial chemoembolization therapy, patients in good condition in observation group is 28,accounting for 93.3%; While patients in good condition in control group is 25, accounting for 83.3%. There is no significant different between the two groups in living quality.(2)In the respect of clinical curative effect, the number of patients whose tumor volume decrease more than 75% in control group account for 46.7%, which is significant lower than that of observation group accounting for 66.7%. And the hematuria is significant improving in observation group comparing with control group. The time of appearing blood urine is of the observation group is 108.6±17.7 hours, which is significant longer than that of the control group with 86±21.7 hours. In long-term curative effect, the Progression-Free-Survival of the control group is 12.6±4.5 months, and the Progression-Free-Survival of the observation group is 20.3±6.1 months. The living rate of patients after two years in control group and observation group is 13.3%, 26.7%, respectively. The two dates indicates that Zedoary Oil in combination with mitomycin is better than mitomycin alone.(3)In the respect of adverse reaction, blood phase change, liver function reduction and gastrointestinal reaction are occurred, but there is no significant difference between the two group.Conclusion: Zedoary Oil combined with mitomycin can significantly decrease the volume of tumor and relived the urine blood. Zedoary Oil also has obvious long-term curative effect. In the process of treatment of Zedoary Oil in combination with mitomycin,the former plays to improve patients’ life quality and has the well recovery effect, which is worth further promotion in clinical treatment.
