Objective: To summarize the efficacy of two methods , intra-arterial infusion chemotherapy and chemoembolization for the patients with middle and advanced stage of bladder cancer, and process the control research with the meathod of survival analysis .At the same ,to analyse the efficacy of therapy to hematuria in patients with middle and advanced stage of bladder cancer bladder cancer treated by chemembolization. Patients and meathods:60 patiants with accepted interventional therapy at interventional ward and urology department in 1'st hospital of shanxi medical university from 1998.6 to 2004.9 were collected .There are 57 man and 12 woman. The age ranged from 42 to 90.The patients were devided to 2 groups ,one group were treated by intra-arterial infusion chemotherapy and the number is 33 ,others were treated by chemoembolization and the number is 36. The statistic methods:Use the cox's proporial hazarad regression model to analyse the relation of the survival time and the effected factors, use the Kaplan-meier survival curver to analyse the relationship of two therapy methods and the survival time and process the Log-rank test. Results: The operation of all patients are successful, the survival time of patients treated by intra-arterial infusion chemotherapy is 5~52 months ,average 26.52±3.29 months, and the survival time of patients treated by intra-arterial infusion and chemoembolization is 4~36 months, average 13.41 ± 1.69 months. No patients have complication. The statistic analysis reasults:Use the statistic software SPSS12.0 to analyse.the relativity between the death rate of middle and advanced stage of bladder cancer and two meathods are prominent.(P<0.05),and it's relative risk is 3.220, it's regression coefficient is 1.169.Prove intra-arterial infusion and chemoembolization is significant to improve patients' survival time.Compare the intra-arterial infusion and chemoembolization, the death resk of patients treated by intra-arterial infusion chemotherapy is 3.220 times. The Kaplan-meier survival curver between two treated methods and survival time show: the survival time of patients treated by intra-arterial infusion and chemoembolization is significant high than the patients treated by intra-arterial infusion chemotherapy. The hematuria of patients treated by intra-arterial infusion and chemoembolization stoped after operation !~3 days. And the urine is gradually clear. Contemporarily, abdomen ache is relaxed. Conclusion: The survival time of patients treated by intra-arterial infusion and chemoembolization is significant high than the patients treated by intra-arterial infusion chemotherapy. The chemoembolization is effective to treat the hematuria caused by middle and advanced stage of bladder cancer, and can correct the anaemia symptom, improve the patients' survival quality contemporarily.
