Objective :To observe the possible impact to ovarian function in patients with adenomyosis(AMS) after major uterine wall resection and reconstruction of the uterus(MURU). Method:Patients of adenomyosis were divided into three degrees as mild, moderate and severe levels according to the maximum diameter(MD) of single-side muscle thickness(front, back and bottom of uterine) or MD of adenomyoma by B-mode ultrasound device. 16 cases with moderate and severe patients were accepted and treated with MURU operation. Meanwhile, 16 cases patients with myomectomy were chosen as control group in corresponding period. The value of Anti-mullerian hormone(AMH) in serum,Ovarian volume(OV) and Antral follicle count(AFC) were measured and analyzed pre- and postoperative in different observing time both in two groups. Results:All patients were successfully treated in two groups. No significant different values of AMH, OV, AFC were found in two groups Pre- and postoperative in different observing time(P>0.05). Meanwhile, AFC, OV and AMH values intra-group were not found significantly pre- and postoperative in experimental group as well as in control group(P>0.05). Conclusion:No evident impacts are found to ovarian function in recent time after treatment adenomyosis with MURU. But the long-term impact remains to be further investigated.
