Objective: To discover the critical features of APL by analyzing them in each of high risk group and medium-low risk group. The features included age, sex, platelet, prothrombine time(PT), active partial thromboplastin time(APTT), fibrinogen(FIB), D-dimer and percentage of bone marrow’s promyelocyte cell. Methods: Informations of all patients who were admitted in hematology department of Affiliated Hospital of Zunyi Medical College from January 2009 to December 2014 were collected and divided into high risk(WBC>10×109/L) group and medium-low risk(WBC≤10×109/L) group, which was by using the standards of CNNC and Chinese Diagnosis and Treatment Guidelines of Acute Promyelocyte Leukemia. SPSS software was used to discover whether there was statistic difference between all clinical features in two groups. Results: All 74 first-admitted APL patients included 22 from high risk group and 52 from medium-low risk group. The related clinical features were showed as following: 1. Sex: There were 9 male(40.9%) and 13 female(59.1%) patients in high risk group and also were 22 male(42.3%) and 30 female(57.7%) patients in medium-low risk group, which showed that there was no statistic difference between two groups(P=0.911, P>0.05). 2. Age: The average age of high risk group was 37.86±12.58, of which medium-low risk group was 32.23±12.58. The records showed that the average age of high risk group was older than medium-low risk group and there was no statistic difference between two groups(P=0.085, P>0.05). 3. Percentage of bone marrow’s promyelocyte cell in high risk group was 82.48%±10.00% and in medium-low risk group was 80.52%±11.02%, which showed there was no statistic difference between two groups(P=0.279, P>0.05). 4. Platelet: The average level of platelet in high risk group was 31.29×109±19.68×109 and in medium-low risk group was 35.44×109±33.49×109. There was no statistic difference between two groups(P=0.423, P>0.05). 5.PT, APTT, FIB and D-dimer: The average level of PT in high risk group was 19.56s±3.16 s and in medium-low risk group was 16.89s±3.61 s, which indicated that there was statistic difference between two groups(P=0.002, P<0.05). The average level of APPT in high risk group was 48.55s±8.00 s and in medium-low risk group was 42.18s±8.31 s, which indicated that there was statistic difference between two groups(P=0.009, P<0.05). The average level of FIB in high risk group was 1.46±0.97g/L and in medium-low risk group was 1.76±0.96g/L, which indicated that there was no statistic difference between two groups(P=0.574, P>0.05). The positive rate of D-dimer in high risk group was 86.4%(included 19 cases) and in medium-low risk group was 76.9%(included 40 cases), which indicated that there was no statistic difference betweentwo groups(P=0.356, P>0.05). Conclusion: Except white blood cell,APTT and PT could be marked as one of the high risk features in first-admitted APL patients.
