Objectives: This paper aims to evaluate the effectiveness of biopsy forceps treatment of dimi nutive colonic polyps using mucosa marking targeting biopsy(MTB) technique. And to evaluatr the value of marking targeting biopsy in intestinal mucosa. Methods: 120 patients with diminutive colonic polyps(1-5mm) detected by colonoscopy from January 2012 through July 2014 were selected to be treated w ith marking targeting biopsy forceps. The patients were followed up at 6-month, 12-month and 18-month intervals to observe recurrence and residues of polyps. Meanwhile, the study checked the re sidual time and effect of MTB and analyzed the complications and other sideeffects of marking targeting biopsy forceps treatment. Results: A total of 132 diminutive colonic polyps were detected from these 120 patients. Un der marking targeting biopsy forceps treatment, hematoma after the puncture occurred in 2 patients. The rate of instant removal of polyps, successful single marking targeting and total efficiency achi eved 98.33%, 86.36%, and 95.45%, respectively. 114 out of 120 patients underwent colonoscopy r eviews, and 2 of them had the complications, which means a 1.75% complication rate in our study. In addition, the residual rate of MTB in patients followed up at 6-month, 12-month and 18-month intervals are 80.16%, 75.40% and 74.60%, respectively. Conclusions: Treatment of diminutive colonic polyps(1-5mm) with biopsy forceps appears fast, safe and effective. Evaluation of the effectiveness of biops y forceps treatment of diminutive colonic polyps using mucosa marking targeting biopsy(MTB) w as proved to be scientific and accurate. It makes clear and long-term marks for intestinal mucosa by marking targeting biopsy, which is suitable for monitoring of intestinal lesions. |
