Background and Objectives The present study evaluated the potential role and correlation of Tumor necrosis factor induced protein 8(TNFAIP8) 、ERK1/2 and Dc R3 in processes leading to local invasiveness and metastasis in Chinese colon carcinoma. Methods Reverse Transcription PCR combined Spearman rank correlation coefficient determination analysis were used to study TNFAIP8、 ERK1/2 and Dc R3 m RNA expression in 50 groups Colon cancer and normal clinical specimens, Immunohistochemistry were used to detect 3 cases in different four type of the TNM stage from 50 groups colon tumor tissues and adjacent normal tissues. Findings were analyzed for correlations with tumour size, pathologic classification, clinical stage, and infiltration of capsule and lymph node. Results Statistical significance in Colon cancer and normal clinical specimens, and correlated with tumor staging, differentiation and lymph node metastasis(P<0.05). Futhermore, TNFAIP8 expression positively correlated with ERK2(R2>0.5; R2>0.3) and Dc R3(R2>0.4). Immunohistochemistry showed that TNFAIP8 was mostly found in the cytoplasm of acinous cell in colon tumor tissues. Conclusions Our findings suggested that TNFAIP8 might via ERK regulation DCR3 secretion involved in the proliferation and metastasis of colon carcinoma. TNFAIP8 is a promising indicator for colon cancer. |
