| Objective To comparative study of characteristics and different changes in brain function for patients with first-episode depression at baseline using the rf MRI technology. To explore the area of abnormal brain function and the Mechanism possible pathophysiology in patients with first-episode depression. Methods The rf MRI scan was performed in 30 patients with first-episode depression and 30 healthy volunteers. Using regional homogeneity(Re Ho) and low frequency band(ALFF) method analysised the blood oxygen level depended on MRI data. Comparative analysis the different of Re Ho and ALFF between depression group and normal control group. Results The analysis results of Re Ho Figure between depression group and normal control group indicate : in the depression group, the value of Re Ho in some brain areas were significantly higher than the control group, including part of the brain’s frontal, temporal, parietal, and bilateral putamen, right caudate nucleus, amygdale, cerebellar vermis, etc; comparing with the control group, some part of the brain’s Re Ho were significantly decreased, including the bilateral prefrontal cortex, precuneus, lingual gyrus, etc.The analysis results of ALFF Figure between depression group and normal control group indicate: compareing with the control group, the value of ALFF in some brain areas were significantly increased in the depression group, including part of bilateral frontal lobe of the brain, paracentral lobule, temporal lobe and right angular gyrus and other regions; while some part of the brain’s ALFF were significantly decreased compared with the control group, including the double medial side of the frontal, cuneus, precuneus, cerebellar hemisphere, etc. Conclusion The change of BOLD signal’s synchronicity in regional cerebral tissue caused by depressed mood can be checked out using the Re Ho technology, more objectively reflect the functional state of the whole brain, so the method of Re Ho can be effectively used to the basic and clinical research in depression; The change of BOLD signal’s metabolism caused by abnormal emotion in the depression patients can be directly reflected using the ALFF technology, offering help to the exploration of pathophysiological mechanisms of depression... |
